Default Problems with international buyers winning items even though they should be blocked

Anyone else here who doesn't ship internationally having international buyers winning your items lately?
I have my blocks set up to block anyone whose primary shipping address is in a country I dont ship to, and my auctions are all set up with US shipping only specified.

its been that way for years now with no problems but in the last 4 days I have had 1 person in germany, 1 in canada and 1 in singapore win my auctions. (the canadian buyer even sent me an email and ask if the free shipping was for canada too and I wrote back and told her sorry I dont ship to canada, yet the very next night she bid on the item at the last minute anyway! UGH).

Most of my auctions are free shipping, which leads to a whole other set of problems since international shipping often costs more than the selling price of the item. Is anyone else having issues?

I've gone through and checked everything to make sure there were no changes in my settings and they are all still set up the same as always.

In the last four days what have you changed about your auction listing...have you changed the photo to comply with eB? Have you gone into additional options?

I have had this...
The buyer changes his address to a USA address (for example) so they can bid on the item, then after its won, he changes it back to his correct address and requests an invoice.

Have you tried blocking the specific buyers id as yet?

The only way to try make him not pay is to make the shipping costs to him VERY HIGH..by charging him courier prices. That way if he does end up paying, you will definitely get a signature.

Nope nothing is changed, I sell clothing and rarely get the same items twice so all of my photos are uploaded new with each auction, I change the description & the listing title and the price.

everything else is the same prefilled info as always.

No changes have been made that I can find.

I just cant figure out how these buyers are getting through.

I always put in the description somewhere in bold letters. Shipping within the US Only! Or something similar to that. The only other thing you can do is if somebody contacts you about shipping to another country is just add them to your buyer blocked list.

I do agree it is annoying when buyers start changing their address so they can buy from a country that you have blocked.

I always add to my block list when they ask if I ship internationally , just to back myself up, when I had my original account I learned at least for me no need to sell outside the states sales are the same and no scammers

I used to sell a ton internationally but not anymore.

Not worth the hassle as the scans stopped showing up in many countries, buyers filed claims and ended up with the product and the money.

I only ship continental USA now, do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, PR etc.

I also stopped shipping to APOs because boxes seems to never get to the correct person.

Did you accidentally opt into eBay's new Global Shipping Program?

I had no idea you could do that. It was driving me nuts because foreign buyers were winning when I don't ship foreign. Somebody call ebay tell them to lay off of us stealth peeps and fix that glitch BWAAHAHAHAH

Yep that is exactly why I stopped shipping internationally, the shoddy tracking makes it too easy for them to scam.

Just use the global shipping program. The fees are so high that most international buyers will avoid, and the ones who buy it can pay the fee and you get to ship to a USA shipping center.

Once it's received at the shipping center, you're protected from INR claim.

They are cheating the system with you.

Their address 'appears' to be within your requirements.

They have changed info to avoid your blocks.

Are these new accounts or older ones? Is there anything special about your items that they are bothering to do this?
