Question MC019 - 2nd notice = 7 DAZE OFF

My first was due to expire in 10 days. Just got a 7 day suspension after coming home from GoodWill with a heap of **** to list. :(

It was on a crappy cellphone case that never even sells, nor was I aware that it was not legit.

Do you still think my first strike will go in the 10 days or will they compound now that they have happened in the same interval?

Scurred, had just suscribed a store and was doing well.

My house of cards almost got toppled.

Suggestions?

Should I call eBay to figure it out or is that a big no - no?

Thanks

You can, but they will want you to submit paperwork w/ receipts, etc. Sounds to me like you need to create new stealth accounts and move on.

eBay and their veRo program doesn't take trademark violations lightly.

Its down to you to make sure that what you sell is legit, and that you have the rights to sell them.

I would create more stealths and spread the sales as much as possible.

Likely compounded - next strike will lead to 30 days OR complete ANNIHILATION OF THE ACCOUNT!!! (sorry had to use the phrase - coworker was spitting out the word hah). Jokes aside, you had better start making stealth accounts to spread sales and find out why you get the strikes.

Your excuse of not being aware of the legitimacy of your product is not an excuse for Eb/pp/customers/business...ever.

Vero is a death sentence now. There are some very skilled eBayers who have been around for a long time and learned the method when getting a notice didn't mean you where gone forever. Those are the few anomalies still selling.

Especially considering the time effort and costs it takes to get back on eBay and have a reputable account. Not to mention 1099k laws in the US etc. Since there are so few left. Many VERO owners actually purchase items from sellers, send cease and desist orders, and report actual purchases to eBay. Must be careful. I advise against selling VERO items in general but I know a good number of members here do. I would really advise against selling VERO items of privately owned companies. They tend to police their items more than anyone else. Wrong is wrong but that is my advice.
