Question MC011 Your eBay selling account has been limited

MC011 Your eBay selling account has been limited
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear

To help you be a successful seller and ensure a safe experience for the eBay community, your account has been restricted until additional information can be verified or obtained and we're able to confirm that your use of services meets the guidelines in eBay's User Agreement.

I understand that this process may seem confusing. Please let me explain a little more about it. We're committed to reducing both fraud and negative buying experiences on eBay. To maintain a safe marketplace, we sometimes restrict selling activity, end active items, or suspend accounts until additional information can be verified or obtained. These actions are not necessarily meant to be a reflection of your account's activity, but rather a preventative measure.

Learn more about eBay's User Agreement:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/user-agreement.html

To appeal process this restriction, please review the following guidelines:

-- Resolve the outstanding issues with your related PayPal account. To start working on your PayPal account, you will need to contact PayPal directly to initiate your appeal.

Here's how to contact PayPal:

1. Open a new Web browser.
2. Go to the PayPal home page (www.paypal.com).
3. Log in to your PayPal account.
4. Click the "Help" link at the top right hand corner of the page.
5. Choose "Contact Us by phone or email" in the bottom right corner of the page.
6. Click "Email us" under the Find Answers section.
7. Select the appropriate topic, write your message, and then click the "Continue" button.

You can also reach PayPal by phone at 1-402-935-2050. Here are their hours:
4:00 am PDT to 10:00 pm PDT Monday through Friday
6:00 am PDT to 8:00 pm PDT Saturday and Sunday

The agent will need to verify the telephone number on your account and the last 4 digits of your credit card or bank account. You may want to have that information handy when you call.

Please reply to this email after the above requirements have been met and we will begin the appeal process. Also, please be aware that we may ask you to provide additional information to appeal this restriction.

We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter as quickly as possible, and we look forward to working with you in order to establish a strong selling history and successful business relationship.

Thanks,

eBay

That very much depends on the type of paypal limitation.

It is not a given your ebay will be restored.

Be prepared for the worst to happen.

If it is ONLY dependent on your pp, then your chances of reinstatement are higher...can never say 100% YES with eB though - they could still flag you for ID verification. 1st step would be to fix your PP however

Default MC011 ebay account suspended

2 weeks ago i got message from ebay ' MC011 ' notifying me that all my listings - over 150 items - have been ended and will need to either get feedback from buyers of upload tracking details.

i think it may have been that i sold 3 office project 2010 at £120 when they are being sold for silly amounts of money on the bay. and that they were open boxes. but there were completely legit.

Anyway, im just about to upload tracking details to ebay but wondered is anyone has had similar and whats the chances of me getting back on?

ive had the account for over 1yr with out problem - well not many issues. i recently changed paypal account on it as my pp account was limited for some stupid reason.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

That is a massive issue. What was the reason that your PP was limited?

cheers for getting back to me.
it was silly really - but probably not to the customer of paypal. was in panic as was running out of time to pack as was taking child to center parcs. anyway, sold buyer a copy of office - just disk and key. what i ended up sending him by accident was an old burned copy of office - how, i really don't know.
anyway, he complained - as you would - i refunded him striaght away but they limited my account straight away whilst i was stuck in center parc.
but all they asked was to refund the buyer which i did straight away. i didn't actually know what i did wrong till i returned and he returned the disk.
but my question is, if i did what they asked, why is it still limited?

Office software...at ridiculously low prices...to eB that CAN be looked at as counterfeit.

You sent him an old burned copy of office?!?! No wonder - there is NO leeway for that kind of action - counterfeit

Yeah they don't like bogus software, not at all. Got to wonder how exactly do you send pirated software by mistake? It looks nothing like the real thing at all...Things that make you go hmmmm....
