Has anyone been ever successful in getting the 5 items per month in same category limit for risky categories lifted before 90 days after the 1st sale on an account or is that an iron clad thing?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Iron clad -that is ebay's rule. Your overall limits will raise naturally over time, including category limits. You can try to list something, but you will get an amber warning that you have reached your category limit. If you try to hit submit again, it will turn to a red warning.

okay so does the category limit go away at somepoint so you can list up to your selling limit in one category or is this something I'll always be dealing with?
Eventually they will raise and after you build credibility high DSRs for 3 months and 3 months is not set in stone limits could raise before or after but this is about the average time.
Very true, with Ebay...nothing is set in stone!
When I first started my stealth, I had a 1 item a month limit...3 years forward, zero limit on that item/category. It roughly took about 1.5 years to get that limit raised/lifted.
Rotate the sales through the stealth accounts by the way - do NOT use similar listings or photos...that may link you ....you must make everything look separate

Am I doing enough? Every item I sell is kept in its own account so every account sells different items and every account has a pic with separate backgrounds for its main pic. For the secondary pics, i use all white backgrounds for everything.
More stealth's less problems. Have a backup account for your backup account. More you get going the more freedom you have to not worry about this kind of stuff. New account restrictions on eBay accounts and getting limits increased are the hassles. Make lots of accounts constantly prepare them to be active.

Make sure wording is different. Your approach on pictures is good - make sure you dont reuse secondary pics across the accounts. Use EXIF to strip graphic data or other suitable software
