Default Should I make a backup account?

Ok so Jan this year I lost my gravy maker (amazon) so had to shift focus to ebay. Ebay is now thriving, just got limits pushed to 2000/$150,000 per month. Bought Amazon Stealth, and am up and running. Not near the volume produced last year because low feedback.

Over 12K in sales and no account review yet. Created account under LLC formed under relatives name w/ bank account in LLC, ect.. I run this amazon account on different computer w/ seperate ISP. Never logged into my ebay on the "amazon" computer.

Im considering making an new ebay account on this computer and use all the new methods used for making new amazon account. I know if I lost my ebay account it would be detrimental so just trying to be proactive in the event of it.

Can you see any problems with this? As for the family member, I cut them 10% profit for use of their name. Everything is under the LLC's name under their name, I run the show.

Oh boy, another user using a family members name.

Why not use your own name and why on earth would you cause them to have to report your income on their taxes?

It was important to me that all variables be accounted for. I did not want to toy around with stealth names, ect. Trying to run legitimate business.

It's good to have back-up accounts.. if you only have one account.. you're risking too much, spread those sales out over multiple accounts and have peace of mind knowing one hit won't kill your business overnight.

I'm willing to bet your first account was suspended, and that's why you're here. Why do you think this wouldn't happen to the account of a family member? What happens when you have no more family members and now ebay has their information too?

Yes, make back up accounts. Learn to make accounts without the information of another real person.

Make many accounts , the more the better, I have nearly 40 and make 3-4 every month, it's always good to have as many backups as possible, ebay can close u down at any second and why just work in fear of that everyday.

Also spreading sales out keeps u under the radar from ebay and also ur competition, if u look like a small seller no one cares, if ur big everyone is trying to take u out

Completely agree with Shark.

You have to spread out your sales to back yourself up.

The last thing you want is to wake up one morning and find all the eggs you have in one basket are broken

Knowing how to create backup is a must. It takes time and efforts to learn the tricks to create multiple accounts with non-real info and that are not linked. But once you do, it opens your mind to new business opportunities you had never thought of without the associated risk on betting your life on a single account.

Stealth is a crawl, walk, run trade. Learning how to start small is the hardest part when you are established seller.

Good luck.

Never recommended to use family or friend info...regardless of cut. Very easy to just be stealth and not use any of this information to which you refer.

Toying around with relative and friend info is much worse potentially

Actually you only run the show as long as the realtives go along with the plan.

We have enough stories on here that using relatives info flops big time.

Arguments break up the relationship.

You must have more accounts. But more importantly only answer to YOU for everything.

Make everything yours.... relatives get greedy.

Make everything yours.

I only hope if you decide to be one of us you will at least do a lot of research here and of course read SG but not only read it. Read the forum for a week or so and only if you are comfortable proceed. Because if you make even the tiniest mistake you can be linked and badda bing down like dominoes. Best of luck.
