Activity: 0% Longevity: 66% | | Paypal limited & new IP questions
Hey,
I need a new PayPal account since my old one is permanently banned for no reason! I don't need a new eBay account, I just want a new PayPal account for my own little webshop.
I purchased both Amazon Ghost and eBay Stealth guides.
And I THINK I changed my IP, but I am not SURE. Maybe it is just temporarily!
I followed all the steps described in the eBay stealth guide, and changed the last 2 digits of my MAC Address, connection was lost, I reconnected my modem, and reset my router one last time. New internet connection (wireless internet).
I just checked my IP address @ IPBurger and it is a new one. So it's not the old IP, but a new IP address.
Is this temporarily because I have a wireless connection (and I believe it used to be a Static IP), or have I done it correctly since a new IP address shows up on IPBurger?

The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

I used to be a IP-banned from a couple of websites, but I can now access those websites without using Hotspot shield. I really hope this isn't temporarily!
Also, do I need to purchase a new Mac/Laptop/PC if I want to open a new PayPal account, or is that not necessary?
Can't find that in the guide !

If you can change the MAC Address, then you can change your IP. Just change the last 2 digits of the MAC address.
For a new PP, you just need a new user account.

For a new PP, you just need a new user account. | All I need at the moment is a new PayPal user account.
So I have a new IP address now.
But I don't need a new computer/laptop for a new PayPal right?
Also, I have one more question. The guides are mainly about Amazon and eBay, I bought them both, but I really only need my PP back at the moment, so it is a bit unclear if I need to do the things described for a new Amazon/eBay account, if I just want a new PayPal account.
So:
a) Can I use the address used on my previous PayPal account, for my new PayPal account? I will use a new bank account, credit card and name (my mother's). Or do I need a new address as well?
Do I really need to do/have more besides having a new name, bank account and credit card (and possibly a new address), for a new PayPal account?
I already have a new IP and I will delete all my cookies etc. as described .

I don't know what you mean with that. Do you mean that my new IP address is temporarily and that I have to do something in order to prevent that it changes back to my old / original IP address?

A) Same rules that apply to eBay apply to PP. Need to be a brand new you. New address, phone number, bank account and best to use a VCC
Also need to have a new user account to set the PP up on unless you have deleted flash and cookies on your original user account.
The IP will remain until either you change your MAC address, or the ISP decides to assign a new IP to your MAC address.
Unlikely that you will get your original IP address back any time soon.

And people are constantly talking about PayPal holding your funds for 180 days, I had 2K euros in my 2 PayPal accounts, but I was able to withdraw everything despite my account being limited?
Well, it says ''transaction complete'', I'll have to check my bank account if it is really withdrawn, but I am 80% sure it is.

If an account is limited, then PP will often hold the funds for 180 days.
I would wait until you see the money in your bank account before thinking its been withdrawn.

thanks for the quick reply.
I use a Macbook, I'll have to figure out how to create a new user account (I normally use windows).
You also stated that I need a new user account to set it up. Does this mean that I can use my old/original user account to log in on my PayPal, after it has been set up using the new user account?
I will set my new PayPal account up tomorrow. I received a confusing mail from PayPal today, they stated that they ''finished their security check/control and set my PayPal account back to normal''.
What does ''back to normal'' mean? My account is still limited...
I e-mailed them about it.

No need for for multiple posts, type it all in one post. Makes it easier to follow.
So long as you change your IP between when logging into the old account, and sign into on the correct user account, then your fine.
You will have to change it again when logging into the new PP, and again, you need to log into the new PP from the new user account.

Thanks for your help. So to sum it (I hope I have understood it correctly):
- I have to sign in on the new user account, using my new IP address, when I want to sign up for (or log into) my new PayPal account.
- I can't use my new IP address to log into my old PayPal account.
- I can't use my current user account to log into my new PayPal account, even if I have signed up for my new PayPal account using the new user account.
- If I want to log into my old PayPal account, I have to change my IP address before doing so. And once I log out, I have to change my IP address before logging into my new PayPal account.
---
It is confusing... if you forget 1 thing you're screwed. I think it's best to just stop logging into any of my old PayPal accounts LOL.

I hope they lift my suspension tomorrow, if they don't, I'll just delete all my browsing history and cookies from all computers in the house, make a new user account, reset my IP address again, and create a new PayPal account.
And I'll only use 1 computer and 1 user account to check my PayPal account.
I think that's the only way to make sure you don't make any mistakes !

I would recommend you use "User Accounts" on your computer, this way if an account gets hit all you have to do is delete the user account and make a new one for the new eBay/pp account.

I e-mailed them about it. | Back to normal should mean that your PP was restored to regular status (not limited) - hope it ends well then
