This time they asked if my number was reachable and I said yes they then said they would need to call the number to verify and I said sure.
Problem was I forgot to designate my cell phone number as the forwarding number on the GV account so naturally they called a few times with no answer then bam got hit with a suspension....Is it worth calling tomorrow to sort this out or should I just move on?

Call now and tell them something like you didnt realize your phone was on vibrate or there was an emergency and you had to run out or something and call until you get a rep willing to call back to verify, but don't wait.
Are they trying to call you on the number you are already right there at that moment? OR do they call you some other time when you are not expecting a call?
Perhaps avoid this by making sure anytime you call in to ebay per request your gvoice number is already set to forward to your phone?
