Default MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

really blows since I been getting these MC999 messages from ebay. Thing that gets to me is that. I been running the same titles for like 6 months on my stealth and just today they start to bring them down? LAME!

All my auctions are the same just the titles are the different (per account that is).

Anyone else been having this problem or what?

Is it just the title that brings this to their attention or the full listing?

Thanks, Ghost.

MC999 are the current candy.

Many being given out to users.

Confirm these are 6 month old accounts just getting a suspension notice.

So this means? No my accounts are still running they just took down one auction. But the titles have different words in them and yet still took them down just one for now. I always run 4 auctions, 2 different products but the 2 of them.

And they only took down 1 and not the other 1 of the 2. Strange.

And hey GB long time.

I got one last night and was able to clear it up quickly. While on the phone, I was also able to convince the Rep to bump my selling limits from 5/$500 to 25/$1,500.

She was trying to bump me up to 100/$5,000 but her 'system' wasn't able to find any matches for any my stealth answers - I wonder why .

She then says, since I can't verify your information w/ my system, I can only bump you up to 25/$1,500.... OK with me!

Maybe I'm a good sweet talker

Moral of the short story:

Take those ugly MC999's and use it as an opportunity to get a slight initial increase. Continue to stay under the radar and the account will be strong long-term.

Oh trust me those accounts are at 50 to 100 feedback + 6 months old.

They limits on them have gone up by either a phone call or on their own.

Thanks for confirming. Question for you...was this account ever "phone verified" in the beginning? When I call the eBay rep, they always say they do this to 'new accounts for verification purposes'

For my situation (and any new stealth account), I'm trying to understand if you verify the MC999 initially, will they ask you 6 months down the road (like you) to verify again?

Well half of the dozen stealths I got, I did call to get a higher limit.

The phone verification for my accounts is a bit different. They just send us a TEXT message on the phone.

But even the ones I did call to get higher limits and had feedback removed they still send that. It's just that it's dup listing really. I mean I sell the same products and post 100+ auctions on my main account and didn't get this in like forever! I don't know why they are doing this after so long! Nothing to worry about because I can sell the same products in sets of 2, 3, 4, 5, etc and brand names so I don't really care but it's starting to be a pain in the @$$ when they do it after so long and not the others just that one!

They don't ask to very anything at all really.

Here is the message I got.

MC999 Listing policy violation alert:

Hello (account name here),

To make sure eBay buyers have the best possible shopping experience, we want to ensure easy and accurate searching and purchasing. To help make items easier to find, we have a policy that doesn't allow duplicate listings.

We understand that you may not have been aware of this policy or that this may have been an oversight. Unfortunately, we had to take the following action:
- Duplicate listings have been removed.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).

Please take the time to review your listings and remove any other duplicates.

The duplicate listings we identified were listed on the following multiple accounts:
(Account name here)

The items we removed are duplicates of the following listings that are currently active on your eBay account:

(item number here)

Following the guidelines below can help prevent further action on your account, including limits to your buying and selling privileges.
- If you have identical items for sale, please list them in a single, fixed-price, multiple-quantity listing. If you have an active fixed-price listing, we recommend revising it to increase the quantity.
- Review any automated listing features to prevent these items from being relisted.
- If you have more than one user ID, please review all of your listings. Duplicates aren't allowed across accounts.

To learn more about our duplicate listings policy, go to:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-multi.html

If you have more questions, contact our policy experts:
http://ocsnext.ebay.com/ocs/home

Here's a sample of the duplicate listings we removed. To see the full list, go to My eBay, click the "Activity" tab, and then click the "Unsold" link under the "Sell" heading.
(item number was here) - (title here removed by me! so yeah)

appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Thanks,

eBay

Ebay you truely blow, we just want to make money! If I got one listing of the same I end up selling less. If I got 10 then it's a lot better but hey less money for you in fees!

One account my title was the same but I had an extra word at the end of it. I guess if I mix them around it won't happen! :O LAME!

Yes these duplicate listings happen - I get them too along with listing being pulled - but I dont get any other problems on the account - just re-title and move on

Another tip for duplicate listing...

I listed an auction of an item for (let's say $1.99 starting and $19.99 BIN). I also listed that same exact item as a BIN for $19.99.

I got the duplicate listing error message.

I changed the BIN price to $24.99 and I was able to list it without no hassles (along w/ the same auction item which was listed at $19.99).

I believe eBay's policy regarding duplicate listing is that you cannot have the same item, listed at the same time, at the same price. I haven't looked at it recently, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this method has worked for me.

I've gotten around duplicates in several ways.

1. two of the same in one auction
2. including "info or extra on the topic which gets emailed to them"
3. auction with buy it now and buy it now with different buy it now price
4. Slight variation such as item with 1 refil, item with 2 refils, item with no refils etc.

I think it's a hit and miss with sellers receiving the mc999.

Yeah I know. I had this problem last year I had 500+ listings and then I couldn't re-title. Cause I ran out of ways and so on. So left to 200+ only.

They should just look the other way like they do with everyone else.

You should not have the exact same title is the key point - not really the price

Yeah titles needs to be changed. I had all the same keywords but I changed it around now so it's fine until I get another note if anything.

Yeah, what gets me is I had 165 sold when I posted 500+ BIN GTC auctions and had TRS!

So they removed all of them left me down to 200+ in the low 200's. and dropped down to 90 sales. PFT LAME!

It's why stealth going is better. Getting really tired of EBAY treating sellers like we are idiots.
