Anyone know a bank account that you can open with under $25 needed for initial deposit? Not a big deal, but if there's one out there that I can open online with under $25 to open that would be ideal.
Thanks.

Bank of America works great with mismatch names fast deposits, Saturday deposits( feature that out of the 13 banks I use boa is the only one as long as u make the withdraw from Paypal by 8am Thursday morning than you will have Saturday .
And it gives u the option to add money now or later. Great bank

It's 5 bucks a month to maintain, gives you a checking account number and debit card. You can deposit money into it, and what's cool about it is that no one can take money out of the account based on checking account number only. You would have to use the Visa debit card in order to do that. Name mismatches just fine. All in all, Chase is a great bank.

SSN is needed as part of the requirements for banks to offer accounts.
Contact the customer service of the bank that interests you.
Ask them their methods to make accounts. Available options will be given to you.
Good Luck |

You need that SSN for all American banking these days as an American citizen/resident.
When I set up stuff in the US, I provide suitable equivalent - days of "Anonymous" banking are very much behind us on the large part.

It is only PayPal where the SSN is used once to avoid linking

Been a Chase guy ever since. Didn't know I could open accounts online now until just now.
That's why I keep coming back. Always find out something new.

I love BOA just opened 3 accounts today, so easy and approved in hours. It's like it caters to stealth and a great mobile App can't be beat,
When I first started a had mostly prepaid , which I still like for the fact ebay can't dip in it and over drawl your account , once the funds are withdrawn tough luck . Now I usually start my accounts with a prepaid debit card and when it hits the 90 day mark I add a real bank and just keep the prepaid as my primary, kind of a buffer to protect the account with money in it.
Boa has the fastest deposits, it has Saturday deposits, all the prepaid cards and TD bank only worked M-F so if u didnt withdraw by Wednesday before 10 pm u had to wait till Monday , now that's ok but starting up when things were tight that extra deposit a week helped
Also 7 of my stealths are hooked up to BOA soon to be 10 , with the app u can make instant transfers all to one Debit card , instead of making 10 withdrawals at the ATM with 10 cards
