Default provide documents or not? - limited account.

Hi guys,

quick questions for you all, would appreciate some guidance...

I drop ship from DHGate.

My Paypal is now limited.

Shall I submit documents i.e. invoices and tracking numbers? i have tracking numbers but these highlight the fact the goods are from china, problem maybe?

Will this work and save the account?

Am I right in thinking paypal already know where the goods are from?

Do I have a risk of getting later transfers reversed if I get unlimited? Supplier has provided me with invoices which looks very good/genuine.

Lastly, i have had numberous people approaching me now i have ended auction, is it wise to sign up to google checkout (as this offers buyers some form of protection)

Thanks

Firstly dont drop ship! Get the stock in from DH gate then supply quickly to keep good DSRs otherwise you risk low DSRs that will get you limited anyway... (hint eBay/PP do not favour drop shippers)

Why was your PP limited? Does it ask for supplier invoices or tracking numbers? Unless it asks there no reason to provide. This limit was triggered somehow and knowing what caused it will help keep you under the radar!

Secondly it does depend on what your getting from DH Gate, it can be a good site and I use it as I'm sure alot from this forum do but there are alot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and nasties being supplied there (there is in china as a whole) eBay wont like this is and even if legit, they will suspect the worse if you supply China invoices and tracking numbers.

My advise is

1. Get the stock in first into the UK
2. Avoid vero and high risk items from DH Gate
3. Supply quickly to your customers and being based in the UK you can provide UK tracking numbers to keep PP/eBay happy

Big problem if you use tracking numbers for China - they will see the source - you have already given these tracking numbers to PP?

If so -you might be running into a brick wall but worth a shot. Keep the forum posted but get backup accounts going.

--- great advise, problem is

1) having capital to buy large amount of stock
2) storing the damn stuff
3) - and most importantly, selling the stuff... as much as i research what sells, it seems almost impossible to forecast what will actually sell, and the size

Quite the conundrum - how do other sellers do it then? Maybe you have to address each issue as a seller - just saying.

You'll definitely get your money back - maximum wait will be 180 days. Look at it as an interest free savings account.

Here's the scenario.....

you should get this in the email..... your balance may have funds removed from it for buyer issues.

The balance that is (eg) £2500 today may reduce to a lower amount.

Provided paypal say the funds will be released it usually happens.

I would not rely on a 30 day release. Preferable to leave a longer time to ask for funds, in my experience.

Sadly, 180 days is the norm - patiently wait and have your bank account ready for withdrawal

There is a chance - avoid getting cases open, speak to your customers, do the partial refund if you deem necessary.

Too many refunds could trigger pp limitation.

Try re-reading the thread. The paypal is already permanently limited.

Then partial refund will have to be done with manual call to PP and speak to agent then.

Means calling up paypal.

They may not help you.

Or , you can tell the buyers to claim.

Either way, that is going to eat into your balance like I mentioned in the earlier post.

Be careful of your approach.

I drop ship from DHGate.

My P@ypal is now limited.

I really should have stopped reading after this.

I love aspkin.com for everything it's done for me, but I hate reading stuff like this because I've read it 50000000000000 times.

Here's the story:

1. I did something that is incredibly obviously borderline illegal.

2. PP locked up my money.

3. Oh no! I'm a college student and I need that money! What will I ever do?

4. Buy the Stealth Book? What? Why would I do that? I'd rather just ignore the subscriber forums and ask everything I need to know in the public forums which doesn't require that I pay for anything!

5. (((Some helpful but naive subscribed member answers all the OP's questions with info that is directly copy/pasted from the Stealth Book.)))

6. OKIE THANX GUYZ! GONNA START IT UP AGAIN!

Dude. Realize that shipping ⊗⊗⊗⊗ from China is both (A) stupid and (B) illegal. You are going to continue to get shut down every. single. time. you do this. I guess if wasting your time making $20 per account after making 4 sales and having to open a new account is worth it to you, then go ahead and do it, but know that you're operating a ridiculous and stupid business model that is going to end up with you getting in trouble in the long run.

Much as I totally agree with the above post and that does happen frequently I do have to state that not everything from DH Gate is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or illegal and I think its wrong to assume the Op has done so...

Yes all that stuff is there as it will be from any china trade platform sadly like ali express (alibaba.com) and the other sites but you can get good sellers with good or certainly reasonable quality goods that aren't illegal, safe to use and reasonably fit for purpose quality so dont knock china goods and sites like dh gate just because of the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ out there.

For that reason, apart from the Ops mistake of drop shipping directly, what makes you think hes done anything illegal? The goods might be perfectly legit but due to the "shipping arrangement" been chosen, the op has put him/herself in a tight spot with PP and there's a lesson to be learned.

I'm sure most of us on this forum had to learn the hard way with ebay/pp/Az at one point or another.

@Omgoozle, this will happen again and again - it's quite the popular story - just another post of a huge garden variety
