Default Help! An ebay member is stalking me!

I have a nightmare buyer, who refuses to take responsibility for their bid. Really they're just having buyers remorse and bitter about it, but I don't accept returns on this item unless it was misrepresented, which it was not. Now, they're going around emailing other winners of my auctions, telling them I'm a scam artist, don't bid, yada yada. I've reported them to ebay but like they're going to do anything about it. I'm also reassured my customers that this person is not telling the truth, he's just being an @ss, but this person has done a pretty good job of "snowing" them into believing I'm evil and must be stopped, so the damage is already done. The sad sod has even told me he's reporting ME and has made threats (what can be construed as it anyway). Those I've reported him for. I've already blocked this bidder but I think he's making up new names to use, and probably just won one of my auctions under this made up user name . I can't prove that though, but I haven't heard from this "winner" in over 3 days now. He has my user name, so I don't think it would do any good to just change it? I'm open to suggestions. Anyone have any?

Lol Jack, what'd you do now? Your customers always seem to be out to get you. What I would do though. Once a person starts to threaten me, I simply ignore them. You can't make a person like that happy; you'll only make them angrier if you give them something to be angry about. Hope you didn't tell this guy you were going to report him. Or you can try to talk to the guy again, to try to settle things if you have an option for him. It would suck to lose your account over something like this.

I have no idea what I did to deserve this Aspkin. The auction description was clear. I just seem to attract wackos. No, I've been very nice with this person so far, although my last two replies were rather curt as he was getting on my nerves. But overall I believe in remaining professional even if the customer isn't. As for the threats, they were more of the "You should do this or you'll regret it, I'll neg you" that sort of thing. Nothing bodily harm. Like he could. lol

At this point I'm not trying to make them happy, I'm wanting them to back off. Although I haven't outright told him I'm going to report him (I already have), I told him threats would not be tolerated. At any rate, I'm not so much concerned with this one person's feedback or whatever, I'm more concerned with the direct impact he is having on my other auctions, as he seems to be on a crusade to ruin my face. Because of his actions, I'm going to a private auction format, and I'm not sure how that will affect this account. I have noticed that higher price items become a private auction by default, so I'm not sure if just having a private auction would have much affect? Any comments?

Well I can't exactly exchange this, it's one of those items. I have yet to go through the feedback issue, but they're certainly making my auction life under this user id hell! This is just a very very picky buyer who didn't bother to read the description, bid and thinks they have the power to do whatever they want, that they're above reproach, and that the rules don't apply to them. Which of course they very much do.

The reverse is actually true here, which may work to my advantage. They may think because I'm "new" that I will bow down and be intimidated. But they're probably going to think twice about doing much about it in feedback, you're right Modee. Which might explain why they've chosen other ways of getting back at me.

Under 100 fb, just make a new account if you get negged.

100 - 1000, it's a pain and you have to pay squaretrade to get the neg off.

1000-1990 it matters little

Around 2000, you get 1 free neg and can still keep your 100% rating

Hmm, well the member in question is in that "matters little" category. I wonder if they will care one way or the other. Still, a single neg matters less than the money involved I think. The only problem with making the new account is that it takes time to build that feedback up to a point where trust is there on certain items. I've seen it time and again. I still think that matters to a degree.
