Got my first ever 21 day hold on AUS account

Is this a new thing now for Australian accounts or have I just been lucky in the past?

21 day holds have long been implemented on all PP platforms - seems you were lucky with past accounts....are you selling something different? perhaps more risky?

nope all the same, i've made over 100 accounts never happened before, first time i've ever experienced this. maybe someone was a naughty ebay user in the past at the address i picked, i'll see if it happens again with another new account

I've been dreading/waiting for the is to happen for ages, I'd be going to the Ombudsman or ACCC. If there are enough complaints it could be knocked on the head, same as when they tried to bring in the Paypal only option a few years back. The powers that be here told eBay/Paypal it was not on. If we sit back and cop it sweet we can not really complain.

Tried it with a new account and it worked fine with no holds, thank goodness for that.
