Default Problems with entroypay

Hey guys, first post. Just wanted to ask about my problem. Over the past week i've been trying to verify my real debit cards in entropay so i can add funds to the vcc. the problem is that entropay took £1 out of both debit cards but no 6 digit verification code even showed up. i've been speaking to entropay but they're not a lot of help. I've used both natwest and HSBC banks. I've done paypal verification before and other stuff and the codes show but now with entropay. I've been searching online but no one else seems to have faced this problem.

any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I had this same issue a couple of months ago with a HSBC visa.

I sent over Entro an email and they sorted it pretty fast for me.

I would try emailing them again explaining in detail the issue, they are nearly always very able and willing to help.

yeah all they said is get a transaction id. what is that? is that what you did or did you do something else like the webcam your card thing?

I have the same problem with Entropay. They charged my PAYG Mastercard £1 (plus 0.99p for the fee).....No six digit number. Ok then they tried to charge my Visa credit card but the card refused it for some reason. I even gave them my bank details which has a debit card & it seems they can't do that either....the following is what they wrote to me:

Dear xxxx

You have received a new message on the Entropay Helpdesk. You can read the message by clicking on the following link.

https://Blah Blah Blah.

You will be prompted to log in to your EntroPay Account and then taken to the Helpdesk where you can check your new message.

Kind regards,
EntroPay Customer Support


So I do this & I get:

Dear xxxx

Your EntroPay username is xxxx

Thank you for your email, as the code does not appear on your statement we ask that you contact your card issuer and request the authorisation/approval code for this transaction. Once you have this code please send it to us and we will attempt to manually verify your card for you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we trust that you appreciate the importance of maintaining appropriate security standards for our customer's accounts.

I did as they said & now they've just gone quite.

I know this won't help but it shows it's not as easy as some people would have you believe.

Cmoon is absolutely correct! i get the same rubbish about an authorisation code. these guys didn't even take a payment out with a six digit code! are there any alternatives to entropay that are easier?

also, should i try with a bayclays account?? any luck with those?

Hey you guys.

I tonight, received an email from Entropay. This is what we have to deal with. Below is a straight copy and paste from their email to me.

Additional verification required
Please verify your credit/debit card in 2-3 days
We charged £1.00 to your VISADEBIT card ending xxxx to make sure it's yours. A unique 6-digit code will be shown next to the charge within a few days on your online statement as shown below.

Date 2nd Dec
Entropay-8394


How on earth is -8394 a SIX digit code???....Words fail me. You have to laugh or you'd go nuts! When I get this 'six' digit code (if I do) I will post on here to let you know I've been successful or not. I have by the way been trying since June 12th (2013) to get this Entropay card so don't hold your breath.

hi,
i have been going through this problem today with entropay and my bank

apparently the six digit code is visible in the authorization process between the two companies and once the transaction is cleared this number drops off the system and is not visible on your statement

my banks advice is to contact them when you know the amount is pending and this code is still visible, as once its on your statement its too late

i have asked entropay if they can resend the debit and i'll try it this way

my bank is the halifax btw
