Default Limited But can receive money?

So my appeal was denied, even with providing invoices. But when i log in it still suggests i can "resolve" , anyway not worth the time nor effort. Can just create a new 1 and work that eBay account as long as i can,. this was a 3 month old account, i think it got flagged from fast sales, which is odd considering it's christmas time and sales HAVE picked up. Anyway, my question is. I can still receive funds even with appeal denied e-mail response. Should i just keep taking funds in, with this account or should i close up shop and just wait the 45 or 180 days? Unfortunately i only have a VBA on there so i will have to add another bank account or get them to send a check. Which i've done once before, but you never know if my bank flags it~

Anyone experience this? Running a limited paypal account while receiving funds?

Wow, same thing happened to me recently on a my own legit account. I wonder if I can use a different Paypal too, since my eBay account is in Powerseller status.

@Moscutter, while not recommended...what MAY happen is that (in all likelihood) you can receive move for about 2-3 weeks before FULL block is in effect...than you have to wait 180 days.

@Laritha, if you try to attach a new PP you are running the risk of having that limited too - it may work for some time (even a long period) but what can happen is that you get limited when trying to WITHDRAW funds...then you are stuck waiting 180 days again

Thanks rsot. The rep from PP said that after the account is fully closed I can open another one. Just can't sell any of the same items. Sounds like bull **** to me.

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

We appreciate your interest in PayPal; however, our decision to leave your account in a permanent limitation status is final.

PayPal reserves the right to limit access to any account reported to be involved in possible fraudulent or high risk behavior. In the event of a dispute, PayPal will seek to recover the funds from you by debiting your PayPal balance and, if there are not sufficient funds in your PayPal balance, PayPal reserves the right to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.

Due to the potential risk of chargebacks and other risks of funds reversals, your balance will be held 180 days from the date of the limitation. At that time, any remaining funds will be available for withdrawal.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Sincerely,
PayPal Account Review Department
PayPal, an eBay Company

Dont base your actions on what a rep SAYS - only what comes in writing...experience with PP of my own with this kind of action leads to limitation sooner or later

At my opinion:

Do not get into that, you will lose time and froze more money.
If you will continue accept payments somehow, that means you still continue to ship goods, and if not they will simply give back to buyers after disputes. Anyway since PP hold 180 days they have plenty of time to complain. Any case will be open by buyer while you limited - you lose automatically almost as my experience.

So if you continue to accept good side you have:

+ new extra sales

Bad side - you will have:

- LONG 180+ days for funds
- Big risk with any case or dispute

The choose is yours! good luck

The 180 days will start from your last payment, so if you keep collecting then long wait

Limited PP accounts can receive funds for up to 21 days'ish - after that, it gets fully blocked
