No, but I've shipped numerous USPS Express International to Australia and have been refunded the $44 fee for the 10 day guaranteed delivery refund.

No but I was wondering the same from jab to August I may have had one package disappear and September to now it's 15 orders don't even scan , I don't know what is goin on but someone's taking XMAS gifts

It's ridiculous I don't even care about the cost I care about having to explain to the customer every other week, I ship a new item out but I ship within the 48 states and use all priority flat rate so the postage cannot be an issue

I've had such experience with stolen Priority Mail International.

I shipped several iphones to Ukraine. And all of them were stolen on the Ukrainian side.. (I think it was ukrainian post office). I've had issues with Ukrainian parcels before and got some experience from it.. So I insured my parcel for $300...

After 5 weeks buyer received an empty priority box without iphones and called me at once (not even going away from the post office counter).
I suggested him not to accept this parcel, so it will be returned back to the sender...

In 3 weeks I received my empty box back in US..with all the documents attached.

I called the USPS and asked for $300 insurance + Shipping Price Refund.
They suggested to print and fill in the form for LOST/STOLEN Parcels and mail it to the USPS. So I did this..

In 2 weeks I've got a letter from USPS saying that I won't be reimbursed, because I shipped forbidden items, which had Li-Ion Batteries. And these items are forbidden to be mailed by International Postal Agreement.

And then I decided to write to the USPS Customer Service with the following question: "I plan to ship 2x iphone with lithium batteries inside via Priority Mail International.. Is this item allowed for international shipping?"

In 2 days I received a positive answer saying that it is allowed..

I wrote a new email to USPS asking for Insurance+Refund, printed this email I've got from USPS...and shipped everything away..

In 3 weeks I've got a USPS check in mail which covered Insurance+Shipping.

Tried this 2 times - success each time.

Am I wrong or is the insurance only for Shipments within the United States? I have been reluctant to file. I had one buyer claim they never got an item when it showed delivery. Nothing ever came from it, so I sat on it.

The last time I sent it out internationally (about 9-10 month ago) it was up to $5000 in additional insurance with $150 already included (For Priority Mail International). But the insurance options differ from country to country.

The only thing - you need to have insurance amount the same as parcel declared value (I had underdeclared the value because Ukrainian customs people are more likely to open and steal an item if the value is very high- so I was ONLY reimbursed the declared value).

Hope you are sending items to family members. There are some countries that I just refuse to ship to. Way too sketchy.
