Just received my first MC999

Yesterday i had started to sell on a new stealth account and within 1-2 hours a buyer had purchased the item and said please send me an invoice total and to email him. Long story short he thought i was newbie seller possibly and i sent him the payment invoice.


Just received an email headed "MC999 Suspicious buyer for item", the eBay gods said they had to cancel bids on this item because they're not registered on eBay.

Now forgive me if i sound silly however i thought MC999 notices were mainly item take-downs? They did say they'll credit any final value fee and i can re-list however just some questions. Do you reckon I've had a human eye on my account? And also having an MC999 for this reason likely to cause any future alerts/flags on eBay's side?

Just had MC999 email myself from eBay warning me that someone who bought one of my items may have had their accounts hacked.
