Default Is same zipcode/postal code ok

If my postcode is say 1234 and house number is 15.

And my cousin also made amazon seller account with postcode 1234 but his house number is 33.

Would amazon block his seller account if mine was blocked, or vice versa?

note: ip and everything else will be different. only postcode will be same, and i guess he will sell some same items as me

I would imagine yes, as postcode and product matching. This is very basic linking.

It could go either way. But if it does get linked, it would most likely be more than a post code match. Do you have the same last name? Any other similarities in the accounts? If not, then to avoid linking, I would suggest that you sell different things on those accounts. If you both want to sell the same item, then one of you should register another stealth account with completely different information, and using a different postal code.

If postal codes are the same thing as ZIP codes in the USA, then I do not think they would link on those alone. My guess would be that here in the USA, where one zip code probably represents at least 30,000 or more households, it would be impossible to link based on that alone.

MickyH could be right, he is, after all an experienced and respected UK member. I'm chiming in because I don't think you should simply give up. Worst case scenario, you lose the accounts. But if you don't use them at all, out of fear, then they are a total waste anyways.
