Default requesting the 25 / £750 limit on UK eBay

Hi,

I've not managed to find an answer to this so I hope its OK to post this as a new thread.

I've followed the great advise here and I've successfully created 5 stealth accounts, the attached paypals are fully verified with all the limits removing. From what I have read on here if I now click request higher selling allowance I should automatically get an increase to 25 item and £750 but when I click it i'm getting a foam to send out a letter with a pin number

Am I doing something wrong? or in the wrong order?

It's been happening on the odd occasion for a long while nothing new....it is why everyone should have access to the address as listed on ebay. If you can't receive the pin a new account will be needed. Out of interest is this happening on all your accounts?

I've now created 10 accounts and all of them are asking to send out the letter with the PIN number in so I must be doing something wrong, The PayPal accounts are fully verified with all limits removed

Are the ebay accounts business accounts or if they are personal are the postcodes similar?

The accounts are all personal accounts attached to premier paypal accounts, the postcodes are from all over the UK

sounds like something isnt verified, its wanting proof of your addy, we don't usually get asked that,
but one suggestion is upgrade to business, (you don't actually have to be a business they shouldn't check that)
and you can then ring the business team,
who can easily lift your limit to 100 or even 200, depending on who you get on the phone.

make sure you know the details off the top of your head before ringing,
and know your business plan (how much you'll be receiving average sale etc)

another alternative is to go on live chat, ive had my limits raised on live chat many a time,
they will ask you how often you post, average sale that sort of thing.
if there in a good mood will lift limits, if not they will say wait until the auto review in 30 days, or upgrade to business and call business team,

im not saying you should to this as they may have logs of chats, but i sometimes log off a chat if i dont get what i want, then back on it with a diff rep sometimes 3 or 4 times until i get what i want.

it is advisable to do this at night when you are chilling as if you do it in your working day it will consume your hours lol.

they have been really stingy with increases lately.
had an account on 3 months 100%, perfect DSR's 100% of 100% listed/sold and still no lift,
unfortunately i have to call them for this one as well.

Dazzawoo.

I've tried upgrading to a business account on 2 but its still the same, i've also tried to call the business seller allowance team on one and the first thing they said is they can't review until i've requested the letter

I hope this isn't becoming a standard thing! Advice is to get creating accounts.

Another thing to try is the way in which you make the accounts. Change the order of the process, don't link the eBay to the PayPal straight away....just ideas.

Try different methods and report back.

I would say it is the account creation method you've used has been the issue.

I get the PIN code request on about 1 in 100 accounts created.

I've requested higher limits on approx 40 accounts in the last week - all went to 25/£750 without issue.

i had the same problem, created 10 accounts exactly the same step by step and only 2 out of the 10 let me go to 25, the rest i got the message where they ask you to get letter with pin sent out, i requested the letter to one of the accounts i had access to the address and when i typed in the pin my limit went from 10-£750 to 100-£3500 straight away,

now when i try and use the limits lifted again same way its asking me to upgrade to a business account, anyone know if i do this limits will be lifted again? would be really helpfull if anyone can answer this thanks

No difference if you hit the button, the limits will not increase. It's a waiting game matey.

I know a lot have seen this as a negative but from my viewpoint this is good news! I (as part of my stealth practice) always use an address I have access to, predominantly a po box or rental. If ebay are going down the route of the letter and pin then that means all my new stealth accounts can now go to 100/£3.5k instead of the 25/£750 limits.

Happy days!

So is this being seen as standard now that they want the letter to be sent out but in turn raise limits to 100 straight away?

Far from it.

I've set up about 40 accounts in the last week. None of them went to PIN via letter.
