Laptop Issue

Considering most people active on this forum are probably on their computer more often than average and would perhaps know a thing or two.

Ok tonight i accidentally spilled a little water on my laptop and i thought it was fine but now i have no sound at all...not even a little buzz. However when something is played that little green bar moves showing it recognizes sound. Do you think i really messed something up? I was planning on getting a new laptop in 2 weeks anyways but i havent installed my cable yet, therefore i cant watch my shows on youtube and i cant use skype

Seems like you shorted something out.. I've done that a couple times before and it never ended well. :(

Laptops do not like water. They like tea or coffee even less.:(
It is very expensive to get them repaired as well after these types of treatment.

check your home insurance policy this is covered on my policy..if you have laptop covered under this

yeah i know its not worth repairing for sure. I just bought a new one. Thanks for the replys!

You know what? I had a Laptop I bought from a friend, it was a very nice Laptop, and I paid a lot of it. The laptop didn't last long though… and here's why. First the keyboard went out because I accidentally spilled coke on it. So here I am connecting my desktop keyboard to it to make things work. Then guess what? My monitor went out…

What a POS… now I had to connect my desktop monitor to it as well...

Here I am with an awesome laptop (at the time), with a huge monitor connected to it and some old keyboard… weak…

I finally gave it away to a 'friend' that needed a laptop at the time. He didn't mind so much, but he said he got a lot of people asking questions about his setup. He still has it to this day, he's college student.
