I built a very profitable sized business on EBay up to 2011 when it all came crashing down. I made some bad choices and pushed my luck which resulted in me losing my account in the middle of that year.
It absolutely devastated me and has taken me a long time to get over it. I thought it was the end, and simply gave up.
I actually dismissed this site as a haven for scammers. I could not be more wrong.
Over just last year I have been building myself back up, and things are looking good. I think I have a reasonable understanding of stealth now. I lost a huge amount of confidence, but its creeping back up.
I believe by Summer I will be back where I want to be as a minimum. Then the sky is the limit.
Many thanks to all who have assisted and given advice in the past. (And no doubt who will in the future)

Everyone has to make their own decision as to how far they want to push their luck or how big they want their business to be. No one can make that decison for you.
I am getting on in years and I just want to jog along and make my retirement comfortable. I have no ambitions to be a millionaire and I dont want to work too hard either. I am done with all that.
I have learned that people who have no wish to grow their business beyond a certain level aren't necessarily lacking in ambition or lazy. Rather they have a sound knowledge of what they want in life.
Good luck to those of you who aspire to make a million!

In 2010 when ebay shut down my 3 accounts and the wifes (and the father in laws account who regularly used our PC to bid on things when he was round) I spent the best part of 3 months not knowing what the next move was.
2013 was my best year yet, made over double what we did in 2009/10.
I am genuinely grateful to them for screwing me over.
....donkey...We are all on the same boat....Was a veteran for 10 yrs on ebay till last Dec 2013. Trying to get this stealth game going ...Good luck to you and all out there.....wish me a luck too......

Best of luck everyone do what is right for you! I am easing down on my selling as my kids are taking up most of my time (they are still young). The more $ I make the less time I spend with my kids and vice versa - so I have a choice - I chose to devote more time with my kids. I am still pottering along but easing back on listings and discontinuing purchasing some stock and scaling back on the amount of time I am glued to the computer.
I will stick with the accounts that I have got and maybe when the kids grow up a bit I will get back into the rat race again. The money is good though I must admit :-)
This forum sometimes feels to me like
a support group besides
being a great stealth informative place.
There should be a "We love you" button
right next to the "thanks" button :-). I love this website.
Good luck in 2014 and thanks to all of you.
Wow, you're post really hits home. I've been trying hard to rebuild but it's pretty tough with EBay's selling restrictions. Looking into buying an account with higher limits. Fight the power!
