Will try to make a long story short; let's see how that works. I ran into a disagreement with an AMZ bully on the forums, following which he came swinging & purchased one of my books that honestly was in a condition Like New. He however claimed it was Not As Described, gave me a neg that hurt my metrics, being a small seller with a few feedback ratings. He got to keep both the book and the refund, I am left with a glowing neg. He bragged about this on the forums, yeah he knew he had an upper hand. All my complaints to AMZ fell on deaf ears, and knowing this is bound to happen again, I wanted to spare myself a few frustrating moments and requested my account closed, which was promptly granted.
I of course am working on coming back, if only on the principle, as I don't make a living off of this, oh no. Will have to use a new name, a new address, IP, bank account, a prepaid card or a new credit card and so forth. Will use a EIN of course that is linked to my social number so no problems with IRS. Will have to write 'for identification purposes' on the top of the EIN application. Oh and will start off by selling a different line of products. The email I plan on using, will be the one that is not associated with my ISP, so that I can use ANY name or a nickname on it, to keep things private. This kind of posting btw has gotten me banned from eBay forums (but not from selling) so I can't access them using Chrome. Still can do so by using a different browser and a private browsing to boot. Can't post, but who cares.
I firmly believe there are ways around any of this, that are possible to implement with a proper preparation. Luck is what happens when the preparation meets the opportunity. Yep.
I wonder if I can lead a double life online but from say, a library computer. Still want to stay in touch with my old email buddies... using a different address... hmmm.
