Default Crazy A-Z claim

Get this.... 2 weeks ago guy requests to return item since he cannot figure out how to use it. OK, fine. I authorize the request and have Amazon generate a return label and RMA. So couple days ago he opens A-Z claim saying I never contacted him and this is bad return policy. So I send him another email saying I authorized it right away and didn't he get it? Finally, today I get a message from him that he has an old email acct linked to Amazon that he rarely uses anymore.

So of course now my ODR is going to be at the edge of a cliff due to this moron.

I contacted AZ and and got the standard "sorry about that but our policy blah, blah blah.

Any advise? It's gonna be 90 days before it rolls off.

Submit all this back and forth e-mail as proof - communicate with e-mail to all the Amazon e-mail addresses

What's your metric's like. If good don't worry, just put a comment under the negative feedback if they have left one. Then forward amazon all the correspondence when you contest the A-Z claim.

When you state your case in AZ claim , on the right is a list of all the messages between buyer, you, an AZ. So they can plainly see what occurred. I still pasted the line where he admits having an old email associated to Amazon.

My ODR was 0.00 across the board- will be at .7 after this (volume is about 60 items month) so one more and it goes over 1%. No negative FB. He just opened an AZ claim. Amazon said I won't be faulted for this if I process the return. However they have that stupid policy where AZ claim still counts against ODR even if you win the claim.

As far as I know there is nothing to do. Many of us have been burned the same way for even worse scenarios. Amazon doesnt seem to care much about sellers.
