Default '*' Windows XP setup vs. Windows 7

Hey guys,

Been using only XP in the past, and seems ok without having multiple user accounts created; as long as IP is dynamic, browser cookies + flash bookie clears.

Would the same setup apply for Windows 7? Or do most here create multiple user accounts on it as well?

Hi,
I would strongly recommend to have separated user accounts. One for each stealth account.
Using more than one account on the same user is too risky in my opinion.

If I have read this right you are using multiple stealths on a single user account and you are clearing out the cookies each time you want to log into a new stealth? That method will not work well in the long run.

Separate user account are recommended for a reason, and they are very easy. Why do something other than the recommended tried and practised method?

Hi James,

Thank you for your response.

I'll definitely be creating new user accounts for each when changing to Win 7.

Do you also clear all your cookies per each user account's browser then? or you keep them?

For one, it's much easier to operate with different user accounts.
But what you need to know is, that eBay tracks you via cookies and flash.

For each user account you keep the cookies in place. It keeps EB and PP happy.

Just make sure you never log into the wrong EB from the wrong PP

Also, ensure you are rotating (and tracking) your ip's whenever you are changing between accounts.

I would like to add that if you ever use windows 7 and still want to use XP. Windows 7 professional and higher, pro and ultimate versions, have a Windows XP virtual machine built in. You will have to download XP from the Microsoft website, it will automatically install. You just have to install new drives and everything else to have a fully function XP on Windows 7.

Its like having 2 computers built within 1. Its just a thought you can add if you want. If not just use windows 7 basic or home prem with user accounts.
