Default PP's old tricks again after receiving an email

FROM PP saying that they would not be holding future received payments any longer. I got that 10 days ago and have not sold anything until today. When I looked to see if the funds were available they were not, bummer.

The only thing I have received on that acct. since their email has been 2 more + fb's. Absolutely NOTHING negative has transpired to cause this. So for any of you that still think these people are reputable, think again because they are not.

Ending on a + note I did get a limit increase on the same acct. from 10/1000 to 100/5000. So it's not all bad news.

Nothing new Joel. They might hold a few and then release after this.

Congrats on the limit increase!!!

Yea I have a pattern it seems of after receiving a limit increase the first listings say I would lis 5 items after the increase they would all sell with holds and the next group of listings the holds are gone

Getting the increase is a very good sign of trust and u are doing things well

Yea, they hold funds. I remember years back I had something on one of my accounts called a "Rolling Reserve" 10% of my money was held by PayPal and it would adjust based on every month. It was there way of saying you have to have funds to cover chargebacks, etc. Even though I had few if any.

For the most part with all my accounts, it basically taught me you need to have a reserve in your accounts even if you don't have that hold. So you aren't like the old Steve Miller Band Song- Take the Money and Run.

Knock on wood but keeping a sizable amount in reserves I do believe has kept me from having some unfavorable circumstances that members here sometimes complain about. I look at it like a Bail Bond. To show you faith with PayPal.

rolling reserve still exists for both paypal usa & paypal uk.

Pain in the ......................

Holds like mentioned are worse. Affects a budget too much.

While I agree, it was not very fun. However, more than anything I was thankful after everything I had been through as I am still today. That I can sell on eBay and make a living from this. As much as I have my gripes I am still very thankful even all the b.s. what eBay/PayPal has allowed me to do.

Honestly, like I said as bad as they can be. You just gotta chalk it up as a cost of doing business and that Bail Bond or Renters Deposit mentality.

Here we go again. Do you see anything in the email I am posting below about off eb sales? I really don't get why people post stuff they don't have a clue about?

Hello Mr. Stealth,

Congratulations! Starting today, money from payments you receive will no longer be placed in a pending balance and will be immediately available to you.

The money currently set aside may be available even sooner, if we can confirm the item was delivered.

The 2nd paragraph is BS too because I am having to wait the whole 21 days when I send USPS 1st class and usually delivered with confirmation in 3-5 days.

Does it say anywhere there that it is for ebay payments???

Let me guess.. the accounts are just over 90 days old since your first sale, sold at least 10 items and taken in over $500.

I get these messages ALL THE TIME and it always takes the holds off my off ebay sales and not my ebay sales.

I could maybe understand if I had even 1 off eb sale. I didn't. I have had the acct. for over 180 days and before limit increase I sold my limit the last month as not to attract attention.

If you had made an off ebay sale "in your case" it would have had the 21 day hold, just like your ebay sales do.

Either way this is good because Paypal is starting to trust you and your ebay sales will be next to lose the 21 day holds.

I could be wrong but this is what has happened to me many times.

Good luck.

HAHAH joesshooze,

Mr. Stealth. LAMO. Sorry to get off topic but maybe we should have public vote on the forum. For Mr and Ms Stealth. Kinda like the forums version of Prom Queen and King. Lol. I am sure Sandy D has the other side locked up.

But HAHAHA, Mr. Stealth. What a name!!!!
