This may seem like a dumb question, but I duno how much data tracking Amazon logs...
i was logged onto my amazon seller account on this computer+ip johndoe@gmail.com. I logged out.
Then 10 minutes later... I was logging in again, and typed in digirally@gmail.com (my 2nd amazon seller account) into the username box by accident (was distracted), but DIDNT log in or press enter and I quickly deleted it.
do u think amazon would log something like that?

they wont link you even if you type an email in box and enter incorrect password.
just make sure password you enered wasnt correct and your safe.

Yes, it's for real. You know it's possible to track an input field as you type, right? I don't know what kind of lengths Amazon/eBay goes to, which is why I asked this question, but it's certainly possible and not difficult to do.

You do realize Amazon is run by robots, right? It would be impossible to employ enough people to handle every account. That's why some are deleted, some go under review, and some never get touched.. Robots.

As a web dev, it'd take me 5 minutes to code something to check input text to a db and flag it... so what you said is irrelevant. It's not as impossible as you think to implement this.
