Arrived there yesterday, I would think it would leave Monday. Never any guarantees though, could get held up for a few days.

Chicago is AWFUL for customs! It seems nearly EVERY package from China is inspected there. I don't do the foo-foo's so I DO eventually get my stuff, but it always seems to be delayed for at least 7 days. Once or twice in the last 3 months I got lucky and it sailed through, but it has been a nightmare otherwise.
I have been told they have a new facility. I don't know for sure that it is true, but it would make sense because for awhile nothing went through Chicago, it was all going through NY. Then it started going through Chicago again.
If they want to inspect every package, that is up to them, but I wish they would be quick about it. They just don't understand that in the world of online sales, a 7 day delay is FOREVER!

Seriously, it's EMS and it just got their yesterday. You should not be expecting overnight delivery.

Wow, you're lucky. My take about 10-13 days from Taiwan-San Francisco-Vegas.

Its been a long time since I have imported but EMS always took the longest. UPS/DHL/FEDEX or TNT have customs brokers negotiating things on your behalf. Also had much larger customs duties from EMS than anyone else.
The smaller the EMS package the more likely it is going to clear quicker. I will say the last time I got anything was probably 4 years ago. Many things I am sure have changed.

For me, its the only thing my supplier uses. He refuses to use DHL, I would get my stuff in 3days.

A very cheap postal services used by Chinese sellers.
The Chinese government contribute towards the postal costs to keep costs very low.
Comes with full tracking. It is slow though.

e-packet is literally the slowest thing i have ever experienced. thats the service that can take 3-6 weeks to arrive so you're lucky it's even here.

Even though its in the US, ePacket has a tendency to just sit for around days on end.
Ive used ePacket many times. Personally, it sits in Beijing for like a week or 2, then shoot to the states and sit at a HUB for another week or so.
Your packet might take another 2-3 days?
My supplier tells me 12-22 business days |

Its not always about the seller being cheap, it could mean the difference a profit and a loss to them.
But next time, the buyer knows not to use e-packet anymore if he/she wants it faster. Dont blame the Chinese seller for shipping. Blame is also on the buyer for getting slow but cheap shipping speed. The seller is only using the default shipping method that buyer wanted and paid for.

Totally totally agree with this.
All too often you get buyers who pay for something to be delivered via the slow cheap option and then expect it to be posted via the overnight express option.

I talked to my supplier last night and was assured that item will EVENTUALLY arrive ....HUH...ok ...told him ill give it till next monday and if i dont get it then maybe call them? or ask my supplier to re-send ( hes good about that) or something
i did tell my supplier ...NO MORE EPACKET / EMS....too much hassle ...hahaha

That will be your clue as to the type of delivery.
It would appear by default you selected the cheapest and slowest.
Good Luck
