Unhappy 0 selling limits on new accounts. weird?

So i created couple of new accounts, new ip and everything. Some of the accounts i confirm with a verified paypal and some of them i use an ebay vcc. recently most of the accounts would have 0 selling limits even though i just created them. I would keep trying with different accounts and sometimes i would get the 10/1000 limit. Idk if am doing something wrong because i tether ip using my tmobile phone. maybe it could be that? i keep track of all ip's. this might sound stupid but its like everytime i move to a different room i get the normal limit 10/100, but if i stay in the same spot creating accounts, i get the 0 limits. It might have nothing to do with it, it couldve been just luck.

I've had the same problem too. I contacted ebay via live chat and the problem was solved. Good luck

Much welcome to the forum intersale09, can you please tell us all what transpired? On the forum we try to share our experiences so that all can benefit. You will find a lot of extremely useful information here. Not to mention some very, very nice people from all over the world. Without Aspkin I would be 100% out of business and I am eternally grateful. Good luck!

@homeboi111 - need more details on the steps you follow - telephone number, new user account, what bank account (VBA vs your own bank account)...examples

are you sure the ip is changing? Tmobile has a problem changing ips, just because you go into airplane mode does not mean they will assign a new ip

It has been my experience that eBay randomly selects the selling limits it puts on accounts. I have some with low limits but another account with higher limits. I think it is eBay changing the rules as they see fit.

What would you recommend on doing first? pp accounts, or ebay accounts?

I like creating and verifying the pp account first and...even having some activity on it before starting up eB

I am having the same problem as the original poster.

Everything I use is new - ip, windows user etc.

Before when I used to make accounts, there was no problem, now only 1 in the last 7 worked.

Any ideas?

but the OP is in the USA and you're in the UK.

It's the method to make accounts that is causing you the problems. Verify the Paypal and link it to the eBay.

I have made around 15 seller accounts in the past month. 0/0 limits seem to show up when the stealth name & address con not be verified in public record. I also lucked out & made one with 500/$25,000 limit. 1 with 1000/$50,000 limit & one showing no limits at all. I wish I knew the formula but I guess it's the luck of the draw or a wonderful eBay computer glitch...

Normally those 0 item limits have a direct relation to the phone you use. Many who use Google voice receive a 0 item limit. Once I stopped using those freeware sources for phones, limits begin to go to 5 items or 10 items.

All that expense to get a 5 or 10 item limit.....I personally use GV on every account, then call eBay and get limits of 50+ on day 1 of the accounts creation.

It's free and far less time consuming than running 5 different accounts just to sell 50 items per month.

I've found accounts created on or close to holidays have a lot more problems with this.

I think they ramp up security during holidays.

I've quit trying to set up accounts during the period immediately before a holiday.

EVERY holiday, i.e. Memorial Day, 4th of July, Easter? Or only the "holiday season", i.e. November/December?

Your post is vague.

If it's only the holiday season, then your post is irrelevant, as the OP said he was trying to make accounts recently.

I would think definitely around Christmas. They have so much on their plate then that they don't want to deal with new or suspicious sellers.
