Default Selling on new account risks

Hi everyone

First post for me. Let me explain the situation hoping you can help

Im based in the UK

I have a eBay account that I use , nothing suspended as such however i have a category limit of 20 items a month in the mens clothing section.

Basically I want to sell clothes some branded some not.

They have put a restriction on the account and will not raise the amount i can sell. I have looked in to ordering the eBay stealth guide which im about to do.

My question is, is it better for me to go the eBay Stealth way and just leave my main account as it is since they will not remove my restrictions and ideally need to sell at least 100 items a month.

Would i need to use new paypal details and open a new bank account etc to link to one of these stealth accounts? (assuming i cant use my current bank details or paypal details as they will link them )

Any input i would appreciate thanks

Also on a side note these limits will they automatically be raised or is it better for me to keep requesting them once i reach the threshold

Spread your sales out account multiple stealth accounts - problem solved.

I would also point out that branded clothing can be high risk to sell on a new account

There is NO WAY you are going to be able to sell on a brand new account those types of goods.

You may say other sellers do it. You have no way of knowing what is going to happen to their accounts.

You need to nuture your own account and allow it to grow. You must avoid branded items.

ebay UK is doing a PURGE at the moment in this category.

They are after as many sellers as they can snare.

You are playing with danger if you think otherwise.

A new account should touch NOTHING branded, even DVDs....

Default Are Used DVD MOVIES under VERO?

I dont really have any household items that i can think of to sell.

i can always go to the £ shop to buy items and sell them at a loss.

I recently found a collection of old dvds that i have .

i was wondering does this come under high risk?

Should i list a movie as a first item?

Old DVDs are not a good thing to sell.

DVD's are too often counterfeited.

Go to a charity book shop and get some old books or a boot fair and get bits and bobs.

It's better no to do it.
DVDs are high risk items... do not kill your account.
Buy some cheap stuff and sell it.
Lots of threads in the forum about first items to sell.

Eventually you will probably also need to provide authenticity of your product to ebay.

Both ebay co uk & ebay com have a thing about MEDIA.

Even old DVDs are pulled because of possible/probable copyright infringement.

Look up FACT

Learn about them

I'll sell normal low risk items for 2 months then try my luck with a branded shirt, see what happens
