Default Let's ask Google to start an auction site

Hi all,

Do you think it's feasible to have new members sign a petition asking Google to start an Auction site?

If this site has a lot of members and traffics, Aspkin can set it up so that when new members sign up, they also sign their name to the Google Auction Petition.

I saw an online petition that has around 3500 signatures. I think we can do better, who knows Google might listen to us

Each of us should help bringing feePay down.

Aspkin, what do you think?

Please show me the petition for the other site.

This forum is still very young, but we'll see.

Default Ebay Needs A Good Competitor

I Signed The Other Petition A While Ago, Ebay Needs Some Competition, That Is There Problem, Some One Needs To Put Them In Their Place. I Think With Just All The People Ebay Has Screwed Over The Years Would Bring Google Auctions A Heck Of A Good Business And A Very Good Competition For Ebay. Ebay Can Only Do What They Want Because They Have No Competitors. Lets Do It!!!! I Was Ready Yesterday..............

Google Auctions to Rival eBay and Yahoo?

wow 600 engineers!! Do you think google realizes that most of the people that will join google auctions(if there ever will be a google auctions) are sellers or buyers than have been suspended from ebay? meaning that a good amount of their clients will be crooks? I think thats gonna be googles biggest challenge, preventing fraud. I think its harder than we think to moniter and try and prevent fraud on MILLIONS of auctions. Maybe ebay isnt doing as bad of a job as we think, maybe suspending people for no reason and placing seller limits on accounts that are red flagged by bots is the only way to keep things in check for MILLIONS of users. And I think if google wants to have a low fraud rate that they might have to practice similar techniques. What do you think aspkin, modee?

I agree, eBay is doing what they can to keep their marketplace how they want it, but it's killing a lot of legitimate sellers in the process. Google will have to be as tough or tougher to be successful. They have a huge task in front of them. Let's see what they can do.

The competition will be good for everyone… Except eBay.

i'm sure it has been said here a bunch of time but it does not matter how many sellers a site has, it's all about the buyers.

right now ebay has the monopoly and it's gonna take more than us few to change that.

don't get me wrong i do what i can. right now ebay is "a necessary evil"
