Default Different way of adding a credit card

Hey guys,

For 2 reasons I don't want to buy Vanilla Visa for PP.

1- PayPal may somehow figure its a Vanilla gift card. Not a real visa or debit connected to a bank account. So it may have a chance to limit you

2- vanilla gift card cost $25! and sometimes you have to pay fee too.

I really don't want to use Vanilla. I been thinking to use my OWN debit/visa card from my bank that is NOT never registered with PP before.

I want to call the bank to change my card billing address to stealth address on PP then go on PP and verify it and add the card. The card will have same billing address as PP.

The only problem I will have is, the name and last name will NOT match since I can't change the name of my real debit card with by bank.

Do you think when PayPal wants to verify and add a card to account, they will check for name too or they just looking for the address to match?

Sorry to be so confusing. I hope you get that I mean.

Vanilla gift card.
PP always know what sort of card has been added.

Pretty cheap IMO. Should easily be able to recover this though sales.

My questions was something else! I didn't want to add Vanilla because as you said, PP knows its Vanilla card and they may limit the account.

I asked about the way that i explained using my own real debit card and just change the address for a few days to add it to the PP.

I have been on the forum for 18 months and not ever been linked or limited since. I always use VV and have never heard of anyone being limited for that reason. If bought at a Dollar store or WallyWorld the fee is $4 and can then be used for gas, groceries or anything a Visa can. If $4 is too much perhaps should examine business model. Just sayin.
Using incorrect address with bank could cause way more problems and might even be illegal. Lots is now with banking & Patriot laws.

Exact same. That is all I have ever used, and I have never had an issue. These work because there is no address to confirm. There is only a zip code that you get to plug in yourself.

See, the only thing I am concerned is, PayPal may some somehow that you are using Vanilla and it may raise the flag or higher chances of requesting sending documents.

Any thoughts?

As I said PayPal will already know if anyone is using a Vanilla card from the first few digits on the card.

They are not going to suddenly 'realise' that you are using a Vanilla card. They will automatically know.

For example all my UK Entropay cards start with 410162. From these 6 digits alone PP know that I am using an visa Entropay card.

The 4 identifies the card as a Visa card.

The 10162 is assigned to Entropay (thus identifies Entropay as the card issuer)

The remaining 10 digits are unique to my card and identify the account to which my card is linked so that Entropay knows which account to debit.

See, that is the MAJOR mistake. I think one of the factors PayPal use to limit the account is use of Vanilla card to verify the account. PayPal is NOT stupid. I know they will not do everyone but I think the robots are more likely to search for those kind of accounts compare to those who has legit real credit cards.

invest in what works. you can change the card anytime. listen to sound reason.

if you want a SAFE account make a LEGIT account.

nothing is safe from being limited anyway. good luck

Who cares if they know what card you are using! PayPal themselves says that you can use gift cards on their site.

Every single one of my stealths uses a vanilla card, except for my legit account. My stealth account limits are 100/5000, 150/9000, 100/5000, 100/5000, 90/9000, 30/3000, 30/1000, 100/5000, 10/1000, 10/1000, 10/1000, 10/1000, 10/1000, 10/1000, 10/1000. In the 10/1000 accounts the oldest one is 12/31/2013. It should be blossoming any day now. The 90/9000 account is from 01/30/2014.

No clue why it popped before the other, but it did. But this is all from stealth methods that people have been trying to tell you to do.

It's almost like you are trying to re-invent the wheel (I do not mean that in a harsh way). But people on here offer advice and give factual things that have proven results. You seem to want to question it or play devil's advocate with it.
If for no other reason, it's nice to use the vanilla card so you are not floating your actual bank card in www.world.com
