Canadian bank for US account in US$

Thought for fun I would ask AZ this, expecting a negative answer.

Surprise, I was wrong.

If you are a Canadian seller with a US seller account, you can use a Canadian bank account. That much we know now.

But, they just informed me that you can use a U.S. dollar bank account in Canada and NOT loose anything on the exchange. We don't have to worry about AZ's gouging exchange rate.

Since this came from one of the on-line flunkies, can someone else verify this (if possible)?

For some reason, it never crossed my mind, nor had I seen it posted anywhere.

Any idea if it is possible on any other platforms (EU, etc) in any combination of currencies.
Could help a few save that 2.5% or more on the exchange rate.
