Default "Training" a PayPal Account

One of my ebay stores sells many valuable electronics. Many of the items being worth >$1000 per item.

Anyhow, due to the fees I am looking at just making my own site and just accepting PayPal.

My idea is to just make a new paypal so it is not linked to anything and try to traffic current buyers on my ebay to the new site (like including business cards for the new site with items that I sell/ ship out).

My main problem is: Is there an easy way to "train" an account to start receiving large chunks of funds? Like should I have the account open for at least 90 days or make deposits / transfers of 100$ one week, $200 the next, then $300, etc?

Thanks.

For your own site your better off going with another payment processor , Paypal will always be a liability, and at any moment can freeze all your funds and shut your business down.

The large payments you need to accept would take a year of slowly receiving payments and building trust, and even after that u never know when they can shut u down

Best is to keep paypal with eBay and try to bring traffic to your site that is completely independent of eBay and paypal

Possibly offer a discount as an incentive to make the purchase off eBay/paypal and on your own site where u are in control of your funds

This is a good idea. But my site may only make a few sales a month. I am not expecting 10's/100's of sales at $1000.

I am kinda in a standstill between paypal and another processor.

The problem is, this is only an "idea." Most other payment processors will charge money each month even if I do not sell anything. So I would like to at least use PayPal to start. If I start to make many sales, then yes I will switch.

Another option if you are doing such little transaction is to use Square.

But then Square is almost like paypal in terms of limitations.

Nah PayPal is like a reputation service, the longer you've been with them and the more money that has come in and out of your account without issue, your status goes up, so less chance of being limited.

REVEALED! Here's Who Owns How Much Of Square - Business Insider - PP is not owner

Also, why go for Paypal when you have OTHER options? Don't need to rely only on PP

The only problem I see with using Square is if a person gives the cc information on the website how will you get the authorization? You would need to process cards separately off your site after they think they pay.

A lot of buyers are familer with paypal imo. I do not want to make buyers feel uncomfortable with different payment processing at least in my case.

Yes I know the longer paypal's are open, the more they can transfer w/o issues.

But I did not know if anyone had a specific method to this.

Have a few payment processors open - Skrill, Paymate, other credit card processing services, etc.

That is actually nice to know - the info I was "looking" for. DO you make any transactions in between them - If so, how many and for how much (you can PM me if you do not want to say over forums).
