Default MC999 - Annoying!

Hi, recently joined the site as I'm looking for a solution..

I've made several stealth accounts recently (New: IP/MAC, user account, phone number, name & address)

I used the accounts to browse eBay for a day or two adding items to my watch list, bidding etc.

I then decided to list my first item, an auction starting at 99p for a paperback book, within an hour I get the MC999, I got them to call the new number & they said they wanted me to send in a picture of my ID to prove my identity, which obviously.. Using a random name & address.. I didn't have.

Just wondering what I should do to avoid this in future attempts?

Thanks.

Cool Re: MC999 - Annoying!

1. Buying the book;
2. Subscribing to the forum;
3. Reading the Subscribed area threads with answers from the experts;
4. Following their solutions and building a new PP/eB acc from scratch, but doing it in the proper way;
5. Avoiding in most of the time such situations.

It could be a number of issues, personal account details, the item you listed (really 99p for a paperback book?), maybe other issues.

Read the stealth guide, learn how to create a stealth account the right away and if you have any questions afterwards create a new thread and we'll try to help.

Good luck!

Waiting longer (several weeks) between account creation and listing, massively reduces the chance of getting hit with this on EBay UK.

we always used to wait at least 3 weeks or longer before listing on ebay UK.

Look at surfing that site, getting your cookies etc.

Sorry it happened and hope you can resolve the problem

Good Luck

You never "receive the right" - you make the choice to become seller

I'm talking about the accumulation of 5 days of registration to be able to leave comments.Collection of 10 positive comments as a buyer. And after then I can sell . When exactly started counting the 3 weeks? From the time of registration or at the time of receive the rights of the seller ?
