Default Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack

I know many people have tried using other models of the Verizon Jetpack Mobile Hotspot.

I am considering purchasing the Ellipsis Jetpack. The reviews look pretty good and I'd like to replace VPS that I'm using now after a recent scare.

Wondering if anyone else has that particular model, and if not, are the fees at Verizon reasonable (I don't plan on using my data for anything other than checking eBay).

Thanks!

I currently have the 4G Mifi with a cheap amount of data (5GB). Works great, is super fast, reasonable monthly price (can make back a months subscription with one sale), and i have never got a repeat IP address (this is huge for me). All in all I think it is a great tool.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you write down every IP address when you get it (you know, check it using IPBurger). Because I have heard that you are limited to 35-50 IP addresses with this thing. Do you know if thats true? Glad to know that you're not getting repeat addresses.

I thought it would matter if an IP gets re-used, but a post I read on here implies it doesn't. Can Anyone offer validation or clarification of this?

Thanks

I have an excel doc and record every IP address. I have hundreds of entries (some were using my old 3G mifi device) and have never had a repeat. I cant comment on other peoples experiences but this has been mine.

IP alone is not enough to get canned, but if there are other flags making eBay suspicious, it can be the final nail in the coffin.

After all, remember IP's on mobile devices will change all the time and it is inevitable that IP's WILL be shared. It would be ridiculous for eBay to ban solely on this basis.

Like most any other organization, they have a score they assign to your profile and assess risk that way, apart from the usual person looking at your info manually etc.

My experiance with Verizon is that they are scheduled give you a new collection of IP every 12 hours or so. There are typically 10-20 IPs per collection for you to use, and once they're all used up, you're going to get these same IPs over and over again until the next refresh happens.

However, ALL IP addresses from ALL ISP are unevietably refreshed throughout time. There simply isn't enough IP addresses for ISPs to burn otherwise. Like what other members are saying, IP address itself isn't enough to link you to other eBay accounts that were once logged into by others.

Thanks so much for all your help! I think this will be a good investment to replace my VPS.

For all you other ebay users, VPS and ESPECIALLY VPN, are not secure anymore. They are NOT safe ways to operate stealth account. I know it has been said time and time again, but DON'T purchase a VPN service from HMA or somewhere like that. eBay and PP have a list of those public servers and WILL catch you. Don't let it happen to you.
