Default eBay Messages Risk?

Hi all,

Was considering fishing customers to my retail website through eBay messages from one of my stealths.

Thoughts or negative/positive experiences?

My retail website sells items that are not allowed to be sold on eBay.

Please chime in.

Thanks

If eB monitors your e-mails (and they can...especially with a manual review), your account would be in deep do do...not the best way to advertise

You cannot send contact information in ebay messages, ebay blocks it.

Send them direct emails (if you have these).

ebay usually blocks contact info sent via ebay messages.

Why not send a flyer in packages you send out with website details.. maybe coupon codes for discounts? I would not suggest trying it through eBay messages.

In PayPal you can download a spreadsheet showing email addresses, I would use that if you are going to SPAM people, it's much safer. Don't ask me where it is though!

The leaflet idea is better, more professional, and it makes your letter/parcel seem more interesting and gives the impression you are a bigger business than maybe you are. I get the thick DL size leaflets and then I can use them as a sturdy backing in an envelope for international listings where the weight needs to stay under 20grams.

Yes package flyers etc is what I am doing at the moment.

And also i email my website details to all processed sales with the email provided as well.

Website addresses seem to send through just fine Bunneh.

My idea was for more fishing customers who have not purchased from me - as i have access to users buying in the same category.

Advice taken on not risking my stealth account if they are known to manually review my messages.

I'll try my idea with an old permanently limited though not banned account.

Thanks for all input/advice

Its got to get some use. Its been sitting limited from selling for a couple of months now.

I think its just in limbo between MC's so might aswell exploit it before he sinks.
