Default adding bank acct / "we don't recognize the device..."

"We don't recognize the device you're using. To continue linking your bank account, please verify your account."


is this a new error? seems like the wording is a little strange. quick google search didn't bring up that error that i can see.

May be you used a new account or cleaned the cookies. A new IP will not cause this.

i usually use a stripped down browser but i alllow cookies and flash cookies and all that friendly stuff they like. this is the first time i've seen this one. just thought it was a weird one.

it is a new acct

guessing you guys are gonna say "no kidding"

but i'm guessing the paypal freakout was caused by the javascript that i had blocked in the browser.

using firefox


thing is, like i said, done the same thing many times before without incident (js blocked)

it had to be the correct user acct because the autoform puts the login on the paypal front page, i woulda noticed that


phone # is just some random voip forwarding number which is what i normally do, i usually dont have to do this phone verify, they usually just call me after my first cashout, it goes to vm, and i never hear from them again

Yea I have ran into this twice recently , trying to add a second bank account , and the same " we do not recognize the device" came up.

The accounts were both 5 months old and I only log in from the same user account at all times

You get two options one the phone number needs to be in your name, or you need to answer public data base questions to add the account

Not sure of your reasonings for blocking javascript?

I ask that bearing in mind, paypal is constantly changing its parameters as indicated by Dmshark25's post above. (Ta as always for the info )

They are really putting the squeeze on things, everything needs to be created with no shortcuts and operations need to be flawless

They are doing some major house cleaning
