Default etsy

I have been banned by ebay for not selling pirated items but not doing well on shipping department (i sell handmade tshirts). then i moved to etsy which is a much better place and got better revenue. But i got the can there too recently due to infringement who would have thought "i like to cuddle you so hard" was trademarked... and other items that were in similar situation...

So my question is if i get the book.. do i do same principle for the etsy situation.

I'm gonna say that etsy is your best bet with hand-made items for sure. Ebay wants everyone to ship out literally same day and so do customers now a days. The good thing is that Etsy Stealth is actually a little easier to do than eBay Stealth.

There are other similar sites like etsy but can't remember which they are. Good Luck!

you have etsy account as well and know how it works?
What might be more easier on etsy then ebay to get stealth? i heard someone on etsy getting banned and then did stealth and got caught in two weeks maybe didn't follow proper protocol?
this site should include etsy on the topic section since its becoming a big site... it has grown so much over the years.. i really want to sell on there

if you sell the exact same items, same picture, title...they will find you, especially if you have competitors.

but, et.sy is super easy to ste.alth. use the search function up top to find more info. there is no need to include places like et.sy in the guides because it is all covered already. you use the exact same practices, except it's infinitely easier to get back on et.sy.

The book will help for setting up new accounts.

For sustained account operation...if you keep getting shut down...you will need to analyze your own business model. Vary the listings up - or change products if so much trouble - but that's up to you.

Stealth works well in principle

Stealth methods and etsy work.

However there are certain things to know in advance.

Work them out and be a stealth etsy seller.

The crowd on etsy can be tough nonetheless - certain ppl may not like t-shirt competition...

With stealth on etsy you will be limited to PayPal only. This will significantly reduce sales vs doing etsy 's cc processing. Despite etsy trying to look all warm and fuzzy, there are no second chances.

How so? I've used PP since the beginning. Never had issues and sold just as much as I do anywhere else.

You will sell more if u have signed up for etsy ' s direct credit card processing, confirmed fact, not everyone on etsy has or wants to use pp.

Etsy does database Id confirm and ssn verify for their cc merchant account, no stealth no way around it in usa.

Yes, I know. That's why I use PP. C'mon now...I talk about Et.sy more than anyone else on this forum. Not asking for a lesson in ste/alth. Just stating my experience because blatantly stating that using an alternative CC method is guaranteed more sales is absolutely wrong.

Plenty of people also prefer PP since it's universally recognizable and used in a million places.

unknown5454,

etsy members talk about this and confirm it is so. And a friend who got booted by of those nasty cliques came back stealth with my help, PP only, and saw sales plummet from a major part of her income to a small part. PP only equals reduced sales. I am not trying to start an argument. It's just fact, and I truly wish it were not so. You can't even accept etsy gift cards as payment without signing up for their own merchant service.

I agree, having both is better.
But having only PP is better than nothing.
I have been on ETSY before they rolled out their Direct Checkout in 2012.
Since I was allowed to use it sales went higher.
But anyway, I am not complaining...

That's true. Just so ironic that out of all the platforms out there, etsy is the hardest one to get back on in full.

OK, clear things up here. Of course having BOTH is better. That was not what was being discussed. We said one or the other.

Now, I will give you the +1 on gift cards. I forgot they have that in place because it just doesn't affect me. Most of my sales are pulled in from Google Shopping and no Et.sy customer has complained about using PP.

As for Et.sy being the hardest to get back on...in what regards? I can have a new account on there in 1-2 minutes, if that. It's on par with Cra.igs.List and that's as fast as I can make accounts.

If you sell the exact same item, picture, title...you're an idiot. Of course that does not work. But, you literally just need a new IP, PP, CC and Windows User to make an account. If you can't handle that or find that too hard, I don't know what you are doing on this forum.

It's the hardest in terms of it's impossible to use their cc processing service with a stealth account. That's all I meant. Of course setting up a regular PP stealth account is simplicity itself.

That goes for any service requesting SSN. Unless you are a cri.mi.nal, you only get one. You act like this is some sort of revelation.

I don't understand the point here. We are now arguing about normal ste.alth procedures which is making absolutely no sense, so I will just let the conversation end.

Well on PP you can use LLC and EIN, not an option on etsy. Not meaning to argue. Just find this nonsense ridiculous. Of course, it is because etsy chose to become their own card processor or act as a go-between with the only merchant account they use.

I've been using etsy for almost 2 years now with no problems but it seems lately a competitor is trying to sabotage me by leaving bad reviews. I've been selling the exact same product the entire time and always got 5 star reviews but in the last couple of months I've been getting really ****ty comments from new users. How can I combat this?

One bad seller and her/his buddies gang up on people and report their listings/leave bad reviews. etsy doesn't verify anything and boots you off after a few too many.
