Default Sticky Tape

A sticky question.

Can anyone recommend quality sticky tape for parcels?

I have two occasions now where Sticky Tape has come off parcels.

Taping Labels on to parcels made of cardboard has caused me some issues lately.

What width do you want?

What size roll?

Any colour preference?

@donkeykong, which one you using? I have used clear sticky 2-3 inch width, available at dollar shops up here and have had no issue.

The brown-coloured ones also work very well

I am using the Brown Stuff.

TNT have lost 2 parcels now on shipments abroad.

I can't figure out why, they are either messing me around or my labels are coming off.

One eventually came back with the label ripped off. It was delivered to another customer of mine! Why, I never got an answer. But to rip the label off would have taken considerable force. It was very secure.

I have been onto them this morning about another missing shipment. An "International Search" is currently underway! (Exact Words) Not exactly reassuring.

I have always put a lot of business through TNT, I was seriously unhappy with them last week and lost it a little.

Over the last 5 years I have used TNT, DHL, FEDEX, UPS for tracked shipments both domestic and International tracked.

No parcels have gone missing apart from -

TNT losing 2 International shipments in the last 6 months.

As mentioned above, the first ended up being delivered to another one of my customers in South Manchester. The label was for Malta! If the label did come off, why deliver it to another of my customers? Probably just trying to get rid of it.

The recent one was 5KG in a sizeable box of 50cm x 35cm x 15cm.

How in this day and age can a tracked shipment go walkies? The couriers are red hot regarding theft. I don't suspect that.

I suspect good old fashioned incompetence.

If you uses the brown tape that is usually the strongest for boxes I can't see that coming apart

But the labels, are you using self adhesive labels? And than for added protection tape, or are your labels on there just with tape, If so go with self adhesive,

But your issue is most likely where ur shipping to

I print labels onto normal A4 paper then tape them to the parcels.

The size of the Label will only fit on A4 Paper.

Some crookedness going on rather than just the tape itself

Tape attached to cardboard isn't the best, tape attached to tape is much more secure! So make sure each time you tape go all the way around and meet the start again, much more secure!
