Need Help With SSN Workaround Please!
Usually in order to get around the 21 day hold, there is the option of going through a identity verification, in which a series of questions must be completed before removing that hold. I have both proper stealth accounts as well as semi-stealth accounts (I.e accounts in variations of my real name, using some real info and then some totally made up info like address and new IP etc so that I can still have multiple accounts). Having my accounts linked has never been an issue, since paypal doesnt store any of the questions answered. They're just auto-generated by whatever service they use to verify people and Paypal then gets either a "pass go" or "fail" so-t-speak.
However this time when clicking on the link to confirm my identity so as to lift the 21 days hold, rather than take me to a set a questions I can answer with being linked, it takes me to a page that asks to call me. I cannot pass the call option because the number Im using for the account is a throw away number and not publicly associated with my name.
When i then click cancel--i.e when I would usually be taken to the set of questions as a substitute way to verify--Im instead taken to a page asking for the last 4 digits of my social. If i provide this info then Ill definitely be linked so im not even going to try it. But does anyone know if this is something new? Are they no longer doing verifications via public database questions, or is this just a fluke this time around?? Or better yet does anyone know a workaround so that I can get to the question method for verification instead?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated
