Angry The Royal Mail + PayPal Just Cost Me £230!

I sold two of Adidas Jackets to a chap on eBay on the 2nd of July.

I heard nothing from the buyer and assumed the transaction complete.

He then opened a PayPal dispute on the 7th of August stating:

"i have not recieved these goods... the reason that there has been a delay from purchase to me claiming is that i,ve been oh holiday and was taken very seriously ill and have been long delayed in my return..... but i still have no goods... please look into this and respond.. thanks"

I supplied both the buyer and PayPal with The Royal Mail tracking number - ZV894635713GB

The Royal Mail stated that:

"Your item with reference ZV894635713GB has been delivered. If the item is being delivered to you at work, and you have not received it, please check with the mailroom or your colleagues."

So I saw no problem there and thought that PayPal would sort out the problem, as the buyer had escalated the dispute to a claim as he was impatient!

I just got an email today (21st of September!) off PayPal stating:

"After careful consideration of the evidence provided in the case detailed below, we have completed our investigation and decided in favour of the buyer. Under the terms of our User Agreement, we have debited the following amount from your PayPal account as a refund to the buyer: 130.00 GBP"

Useless money grabbers .

So i'm now out of pocket for £130 (payment) and £100 (for the jackets).

What should I do now, as i'm not going to let this rest...

Create some more "stealth" accounts and start stiffing eBay/PP their fees.
I wonder if their "investigation" only consisted of running the tracking number through the Royal Mail website and finding it not registered - after it had already expired.

The link doesn't work, but if you paste the tracking number in, then you'll see that it does still work.

I have no idea how they came to this stupid conclusion .

Also, since you've got the buyer's address, you might want to start subscribing him to a lot of online porn sites and magazine subscriptions.
Hopefully, it's a real address.
If the buyer has a good eBay account, I'd also get them suspended.

You're not the sort to mess with are you :D.

I think all I can do now is get onto Paypal first thing tomorrow and attempt to sort it out with the useless bunch that work there .

You could appeal the decision and tell them to enter it manually. Also scan them the receipt from the post office.

Its because Royalmail never got a signature from the guy, therefore Paypal refunded the guy back the money. Yeah its been delivered but probably to a work/shared mail address or something.
