Yes, open cases are now called requests... doesn't make a difference because it's still the same as PITA buyers opening cases without contacting you first.

Yea the process is exactly the same it's funny how they are trying to cover up that negative connotation that the word case brings and now use request which sounds much more pleasant and like ur given options instead of told what to do

If they cared about sellers eBay would at least make them contact you once 1st before they could open a case. It's way too easy if you are new or not paying attention to open one.

I totally agree, they give the service and level of respect to sellers like BEST BUY, I

ordered from them a few times through eBay and the last time I ordered I was just so

fed up, from there horrible customer service, and you cannot leave a negative feedback or open a case until 7 days after the item is received

That is what they should do for every seller, allow the buyer to make things right and than if not open a case and leave feedback

With best buy I had issues in previous orders , and did nothing so the last order , I tried contacting them , received no response and maybe 3-4 days after I tried to open an eBay and paypal case and leave feedback and was shot down all three times with a message saying I needed to wait 7 days

I never would open a case or leave negative feedback to another seller, I would just never shop there again, but Best Buy has a horrible eBay store, where, they won't respond to You, run out of inventory and just cancel the order, everything that would get a regular seller banned they are allowed to do, so ridiculous

I haven't checked in a while but if they are still TRS account after the new standards it's just total BS

I just noticed the "escalate to CS" option is now gone.

Do you guys see it or not?

I've had 2 of these since yesterday. When I click on see request details it says page not responding. none of the requests are in the resulution centre either. how do I find the details of them? also on my returns policy it's got buyer pays return shipping and when a case is opened usually says the same. but on the new request message it says seller pays return shipping. anyway to change this?

You have to wait 3 days to escalate to customer service once the 3 days has passed the option shows up.

In my listings...I ask buyers to use the "Other" topic when attempting to contact me for any issues. If they did that, it would avoid a case (sorry request) to be opened.

Sometimes this works, but most often times, no one reads the listing and just opens a case/request. Highly annoying since this goes against your stats for TRS standards.

Livelifewild, hmmm, thanks for the clarification.

Something must have changed then, because usually I can just escalate cases immediately, specially when it's a non received case with the tracking showing delivered.

Do you know if this is for both SNAD and INR on your end?

I am not sure when it changed or if its for everything. But thats the way it is now. I bought my guy some car parts and had to open a few cases and low and behold had to bust some heads lol. BUT I couldnt escalate anything. I had to hit the help pages, and saw that you have to wait 3 days to escalate it. So at least they attempt to make the buyer communicate with the seller first before getting ebay completely involved...ha

Do the requests for buyer wants to return the item because it was defective count as a defect? and does it replace cases for item not as described?

Yes it's exact same process just the email u get that says a case has opened now it says u have a buyer request and under my eBay where it said opened case it says request

But as soon as you click on it I everything is exactly the same i even think they say case , the only thing is they replaced a word when they send the email when a case is opened

sounds like a managed returns rather than a case?

The buyer decides who pays when using managed returns.

Cases (requests) go one way, buyers way.
