Not only that but you will receive never ending calls from collection agencies. If you choose to use eBay's services then you MUST pay their fees!
People that avoid paying fees and ripping them off are the ones that are causing all the restrictions that eBay put on accounts from day one because they need to reduce the amount of people not paying. The more people don't pay fees the more verification processes that will be put in place.

I love paying ebay fees! Best advertising budget I have ever had! Ebay makes me rich and ask for such a small amount of money to do it!

If you can't afford 58 quids as a fee then you should not be selling at that range of activity...

You wont get away, period. They will find you, they will hunt you down. I got chased for about £2 once - it wasnt stealth but hey if thats what their willing to do for £2, they will murder for £58.

Incorporate the fees into your pricing so your making a healthy profit. Bottom line is, if ebay/paypal want to find you, even if its a stealth account, they will find you, especially if the matter is escalated.

It's a relatively modest fee they charge anyway. Especially compared to a bricks and mortar auction house.
Having said that I did stumble upon the page which shows you how much per month you have paid in fees over the last year . I did feel a little sick looking at it!

@just_smile, now look at the total profit you made from sales generated on ebay over the last year.
The smile should neutralise the sick feeling in your gut.
Bottom line is, without ebay you wouldnt have made £X Profit. So share the profit with them by paying the fees your due.

Personally I have preference.. If the ebay account isnt doing well as in sales, feedback etc... I DONT pay the Fees.. I mean Why?!?! Ebay doesnt care about its sellers so why should i care about ebay fees?..
its Cheaper to create a new account and start over.. PLus if you decide to sell in a different category it will help make your chances less likely of you paypal account getting limited rather than you selling different type of items on 1 ebay/paypal...

If what I just said is incorrect, you wouldnt still be holding their hands. You need them, they dont need you. So pay whats due or the bottom line your a criminal in the eyes of the law.
P.S. your right, sometimes it is unfair, I had a buyer open a claim against me recently, on the phone ebay told me dont worry, we got your back on this one, but 2 weeks later, buyer won case, buyer got refund from ebay, ebay put their hand in my paypal wallet and took £100.
But I know I will make that back rather quickly, so didnt bother. ebay is thief sometimes, but doesnt mean you should be too.

We are on this forum because we all have something in common, a love-hate relationship with ebay. You will never stop using ebay, so long as those sales rack in. You will not stop using ebay for advertising either, so long as your website rank is increasing. So on that bombshell, just pay whats due. If everyone becomes a thief by avoiding ebay fee payment, they will probably start asking people to load £50 into new seller accounts before they start selling, and as a result screw all of us over. So stop it please...
