Activity: 0% Longevity: 55% | | What happen after a ebay account survives 6 months?
OK maybe lets say 1 year but 6 months works fine. I've been looking into the whole EIN thing and was curious if you have a ebay account going good for 1 year what can get you LIMITED? (i know..stupid question, to many variables) I'm talking selling something low risk not vero with amazing customer service?
My plan is to hopefully this upcoming year have a MAIN account with stealths around that MAIN account. I know its not wise to have it but if I get a EIN from the IRS and add that in paypal its almost like I'm starting over with my business right? I mean its still stealth so I know you got to tread on water forever but I'd have to do it otherwise anyways...
I know things changed around like 2011/2012 when they started asking for EIN's/Social number. Curious about what you guys did or do now.
Thanks

Start selling a few thousand items a week and you are under a series of different expectations as well.
One example is sell 10,000 items in a month, receive 100,000 messages a month and the game changes altogether. It is so incredibly easy to get a "Call us within 24 hours" ebay email when you run a bigger ebay business. Sometimes you get an email that says, "Call us by 8pm PST"
Ebay looks for reasons to cut big accounts and they have no problem cutting them at all. Ebay has much higher standards for bigger accounts. DSR and Defects are only part of the game at that point. Now with that being said they also look out for a bigger seller for buyer abuse and feedback removal, manual review of cases, etc...but you have a rep, one person at ebay you contact for all your needs on that end.
Now if you can guarantee ebay $5,000,000.00 in annual sales you have a totally different set of rules. These are the super sellers ebay is looking for. Typically master distributors and Major Retailers.

Thanks | Spread sales across multiple accounts, basic stuff....does not require a lot of thinking.

It's just so much less headache in the long run to make enough accounts to where ur not reaching your limits by far each month but getting to ur goal in sales
This takes years to do, I'm on my second year, and my goal is to have enough accounts where I look like I'm an occasional seller, but have enough that added together the sales are the same
With eBay and Amazon as soon as u make money it's like ur name flashes on there screen Danger!! Danger!!!!
And that's either the end or if ur big enough like Yankee explained could mean something all new, but I'm not near a 5 mill account so I get clipped and try to not have big accounts at all
In the beginning u may need the accounts with an EIN to start, because u will not have enough accounts to spread sales, last year I made 4 that needed EIN , this year not one has asked or should with the amount I'm spreading

I have 2 business platforms I know will make me huge money once they're put in motion. Problem is these accounts need HIGH listings limits for me to do so. I'm not even in the 100,000 talk money wise but I'm 22 and aim for 50,000 as a goal. I want to capitalize this winter on sales and you know basically set myself up for the next year.
It seems like it would be VERY hard to be getting profits with tons of small stealth accounts. They're get and everything but the bigger the account, the older the account, the better in search it is (assuming your DSR is perfect).
Thanks everyone for the replys.

What is considered "BIG" for one ebay account? I'm looking for each "BIG" ebay account to sell hopefully 2-3K per account if I'm lucky (MONTHLY income) with a lot of sales (cheaper items)... I'd feel rich as matter of fact if I make that much in each account....

Say each account goes under 2k and thats the same for each 3 accounts..so is that a problem with EBAY? Assuming everything is good with paypal haha.

There must be a reason why ebay "looks" to cut down big accounts. Has this happened to you? If so what were the details of the account before limitation?

It is much easier to loose a 30K a month account than say a 10,000 a month account.
Ebay consistently manually puts you below standard with the 21 day hold even with great DRS etc... once you approach that 30k monthly. If you ship a lot of international it is very hard to keep global above standard. No big deal at all but it is an excuse to watch you, make you call them, etc..
Big is a matter of perspective.

They don't make much on a big seller compared to 50 small sellers with higher fees, no free listings, little or no customer service.
Last year according to the wall street jornal ebay cut out 12,000 top 1% sellers in August alone.
I lost my top .05% account.

Haha so I'm good. Its inspiring to see the amount of money thats possible to be made. I have had a few stealth accounts earlier this year but let them go because I had to move to states. I got to say 500,000 seems a stretch ..you'd then be a millionaire, no need to be a simple forum then... at least leaves me to think.

Having account with 500K limit doesn't mean sell to your limits on 500K... Quote:

What you do is sit down.
You work out a business plan.
You create ebay/paypal accounts to meet the requirements of whatever country you going to list.
You line up all your ducks in a row.
This is not limited to, but includes:
good items ( popular to sell & good quality).
Stellar customer service.
Treat buyers as you want to be treated.
Create listings that define what you sell.
Have a paypal that is safe.
Work hard.
Rinse and repeat.
The forum has everything to help you.
Your own diligence will get you to whatever pinnacle you choose.
Your limits only come from within.
Good Luck. | The Following User Says Thank You to GreenBean For This Useful Post: | |
