 Hello...Here is my sad sad story :o(
I just want to introduce myself. I was blown away early this week when I was banned for life on ebay. I was a casual member for over 10 years. I found a product cheep and listed it on ebay. I had in the past just sold random stuff i didnt need at home and bought a few things. This was my first go at a business. In the first 30 days I sold 300 of the item and had $4000 in profit. I made a few mistakes like listing in different areas of ebay hoping to pick-up on sales in different categories.
I got a call from ebay and they said you cant do that and they took down about 15 of my 30 listings. The 15 they left up were still the same product and I though no problem since they didnt take them down. So i kept on trackin. In the mean time I was clueless about shipping time as my product is drop shipped and takes 30 days to receive. I was up front in my ad but didnt know how to put 30 days handling time so that would show in the listing.
as a result even though my listing spelled it out clear 3 times expect 30 days delivery time i had 9% customers open cases for not receiving merchandise. When i explained to them they closed case and all was well...I thought. I have 100% feed back still. I figured out how to properly change the listing shipping time so it showed 30 days handling.
My open cases dropped to 4% and I called ebay and they said if i keep it up they will move me back into above standard and Paypal wouldnt put a 30 day hold on the funds. So all was going well, 100% feedback, 5 on all stars and WAAMMOO! I got the dreaded email and I was shut down. The day I was shut down I had 315 sales and $5000 in sales in 6weeks $100 in refunds and the refunds where people confused about shipping.
I still sent product, apologized for the confusion, refunded money but said keep the product. So anyway here I am and thats my story. I got the book, read it and started my first stealth account so here I go...one last thing...I did have a relative stay at my house 3 years ago that sold on ebay and they shut his store down too. He does $10,000 in sales a month. After an entire day on the phone they did reinstate him. thank God! I didnt want that hanging over my head.
