Default Paypal Payment Review

I have just had a sale and received the email below immediately about the transaction.

Logging into Paypal, there are a few options, however the item has not been sent yet.

Wondering if this transaction may be approved in 48 hours and it is just a case of waiting it out?

Any Thoughts?

3. Click "Resolve" in the Action column to view the information we need.
4. You can either fax or upload your documents to us.

You can fax your documents to us at: 08707 303 196

Please include a fax cover sheet that includes the email address registered
on your PayPal account and your case ID number.

Here’s how to upload your documents:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click “Resolution Centre" near the top of the page.
3. Find your case under "Resolution Centre cases", then click "Resolve"
next to the request for documentation.
4. Click "Upload Files".
5. Click "Browse" to find the file you want to send, and then click
"Open".
6. Enter a title for the file.
7. Select the type of evidence, and then click "Attach This File".
8. Attach any other files, and then click "Send Files to PayPal".

Please provide this information within 7 days.

This payment will remain on hold and unavailable to you until we complete
our investigation. We will email you when we complete our investigation.

Best course of action with these is send nothing and refund the payment.

I can't tell you what's going to happen. No one can. You asked for advice so I gave it.

I have had this happen several times before and I have always refunded the payment.

Sometimes its automated and sometimes Buyers make payments and file a case on paypal to claim unauthorised transaction to get there money back.

If you really want to send the item, i would wait until payment clears first (usually 24 hours) but honestly i would do what ebayorbust says and refund..sounds risky with either reason for the case.

Not had one of these for years, trying to remember what I used to do.

I will give it 24 hours and make a decision.

I bet I also get a defect if it gets refunded....

I've had several reviews in the past year or so (above £150 transactions)

I've only ever had 1 review that was reversed, and that was reversed in 20 minutes after the transaction occured.

The rest clear 24 hours and 3 minutes after the payment was initially held.

No reason to refund the payment, just follow the rules, send to the address given by paypal and you should be fine

I received another email from Paypal stating that the buyer has asked their credit card issuer to refund the payment.

The buyer is in the USA.

The shipping address is in Indonesia!



I have refunded in full, all is sorted now.

Too high risk.

Now watching the dashboard over the next 48 hours to ensure a defect is not applied.

I opened a cancellation case in EBay before refunding.

Just an update.

The Cancellation case I opened on EBay has now been denied by the buyer.

So I will not receive the FVF back.

I will see if a defect appears on the Dashboard within 48 hours and then its Live Chat AGAIN to sort this one out.

An update to this.

I have been onto Live Chat once to successfully get the FVF back.

I am onto them AGAIN to remove a defect and they won't remove it.

Even though it was fraud.
