Default I've really pissed someone off at eBay..... :L

Hi all. So for the last three days I've tried to get 2 defects removed. One neutral and one negative. First negative was left by a lady who turned up inspected the item paid in cash and was happy. Contacted 2 weeks later saying the furniture no longer works properly (old used item... Great condition when it left obviously damaged whilst moving etc). Demanded I drive to collect the item miles away, I refused politely and she threatened me with negative, then left negative feedback. Blatant extortion if you ask me. CS rep said it's just an opinion even though she demanded something outside of my terms and conditions.

Spoke to a rep on chat, removed. Happy days. Also removed my neutral.

Interestingly a supervisor was due to give me a call back and looked at the account and is stating the feedbacks have been removed incorrectly. And the agent will be punished and the feedbacks reviewed.
Can they reinstate feedback? Secondly, it was two separate agents on chat who removed the feedbacks for me. Interesting......

What I can't understand is my terms and conditions state what they state, and adhere to uK law to the letter. My customers accept this when they purchase the item, and if they expect more I can't be punished as eBay condone my terms of sale as it's on their website.
It's not simply opinion if they expect something extra?

wtf eBay

My question is how long have you been using ebay? I know you are annoyed but that's their method.

Ebay decides what it wants to happen regardless of what any seller defines in a listing.

This is not something new. UK law counts for zilch with them.

I know!!! It's ridiculous. And hilarious that I've pissed someone off enough for them to review the removal of feedbacks. As far as I know there isn't a reinstatement of deleted feedbacks, I don't think this has ever happened lol. Top customer care is BULL. It's a group of 5 people, annoy one of them and that's it.
I really shouldn't have told someone they can't do their job properly and aren't above the law lol.

Just so annoyed as I have 100% feedback and kept it for 6 months

ooops... that's never a wise thing to do EVEN if it's true.

Make sure future rants are never made at ebay directly.

They do tend to get hacked off and become vindictive.

it only feels good for those few moments you do the rant.

Real life sets in after that and you are in doo-doo.

TBf, this would be the 4th time I have heard of feedback being reinstated on these grounds.

Very rare but it's done.

If it was Dublin you were in contact with, then I have a fair idea of who it is.

All I will say is they are never ever going to be on my Christmas card list

Dammit, so they can actually reinstate feedbacks? I could probably just go away and get them removed again surely?
It's very very odd, and yeah, Dublin. Annoyed someone in there. I actually got an angry message sent directly from eBay explaining their "original decision". Very badly worded and spelled incorrectly everywhere, which is indicative of someone who is quite miffed..,,,,

Negative feedback can definitely be reinstated.

I left neg feedback once, it was removed, I complained and it was reinstated.

Has anyone actually addressed this with the Bay? The fact they can get away with making you do things outside of your terms and conditions? Essentially blackmail? Surely they can't get away with that forever? I'm quite fed up of bending over if I'm honest

Do the rants here.

But whatever else you do, dont go near ebay until you have become calmer.

Regain control or take their grossly unfair consequences.

Been there, done that. Have the tee-shirt

Let that gift from the dog harden before despatch

Perhaps I should rant here.
I'm so annoyed that I was SO HAPPY when they removed my feedback, the customer service reps were so understanding. And now, they might be reinstated. eBay have completely unrealistic expectations of my delivery time. They allow people to get annoyed about it, but the items have to be hand delivered in a bloody lorry. Specifically arranged and delivered in person. It's not like it's bloody city link, it takes a while if the customer isn't available. I give the customer the option of express delivery but they always choose economy and it takes about. 2 weeks.

Rah.

I have plenty of hardened dog gifts in my garden after the last two days of stress, poo alley is beginning to look like some kind of art expo.....
