Default Anyone tried Magic Jack for phone verification

I'm stuck with limited account as soon as I signed up. I tried tollfreeforwarding.com and cell phone and Paypal didn't care for them. I guess I may as well try VOIP, but paying monthly fee just in case eBay or PP may call... I don't know. And then I saw magic Jack. Although some people complain about lousy service, I think for this purpose it may work, after all you can divert the call or turn voicemail on.
Have anone tried this?

A few members have used it with success but it isn't practical I think.

Magic Jack is good when its working. But seems like it can go days when you can't receive a phone call from a cell phone. Also there seems to be some problems making calls to cell phones...will connect then disconnect. The last month they haven't had any of these problems, so maybe Magic Jack has resolved these issues?

You can change your phone number once for free. After that they charge $20. for each change of number after the 1st.

My parents bought two, one for them and one for me. They seem to be happy overall with theirs. I'm going to sell mine on Ebay and give them their money back.

Anyone that wants to buy the one I have can PM me.

Its $10 to change the phone number not $20, I have done it many times. Also I was not able to connect 2-3 jacks on the same computer, using a hub, only one worked, not sure if there is a workaround.

Thanks bbcoach!
The "Live Help" (chat box like ebays) from Magic Jack with someone from India or some country like that told me it was $20.
Just Curious? Was it a big hassle to get the number changed?
