Weird Question For The People in the Know
Okay, say I'm thawing some steaks. They're all wrapped in foil and they have condensation on them. So I go to touch them after a couple hours to see how the thawing is going, and I'm inclined to wash my hands afterward because for one I'm a germ freak, and two I'm pretty sure there is bacteria mixed in with the condensation. But my sister says no I'm wrong, it's just water, don't worry about it. So who's right?
Is there bacteria from the steaks (or whatever raw food) mixed in with the condensation?
Or it's nothing to worry about, it's just water..?
