The bailout is focused on the wrong end of the problem. The bailout should be focused on the origin of the problem, the defaulting homeowners. The bailout should indemnify defaulting homeowners and pay off the delinquent mortgages.
This is exactly what Obama was explaining. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't a "trickle-down" solution, but a "trickle-up" solution. If the "bailout bill" doesn't resolve the situation, hopefully, when Obama is President, he will be able to fix it.
i think its a lose lose game. if you bailout the big business the America people will pay more taxes. if they don't bail them out... well looks like the America is going to the toilet with many other asian and european counties.
