I'm assuming that you have access to the bank account attached to your Paypal account.
In most cases, Paypal doesn't have access to the name on the bank account, so the transfer should go through - as long as the account number and routing code are correct.
papajohns, you can, as long as that bank account has not been used previously with Paypal. Keep in mind, if you get suspended, you can never use that bank account with PP again.
Yes you can OPEN one for payments only - for selling is another matter. Some people have managed to get away with it but sooner or later the limit is set in.

i thought that it doesent matter if the name on your accounts doesent match the name of the bank account holder,pp cannot look at your bank details apart from if your bank tells them,which shouldnt happen but what ive heard one or two have disclosed clients details to pp

So that means you need to attach a bank account, after verifiying the paypal. As you said names can differ although some banks have exchanged info IN THE UK
